TL;DR: In this article, the potential of U. littoralis leaves for Alzheimer's disease was evaluated by the IRPA, 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and nitric oxide (NO) radical scavenging capacity.
Abstract: Background : Oxidative stress is strongly linked in the development of numerous chronic and degenerative disorders. Medicinal plants with antioxidant and anticholinesterase activities exert a key role for the management of oxidative stress related disorders mainly Alzheimer's disease (AD). Therefore the purpose of this study was to assess antioxidant potentiality and anticholinesterase inhibitory activity of crude methanolic extract (CME), petroleum ether fraction (PEF), chloroform fraction (CLF), ethyl acetate fraction (EAF) and aqueous fraction (AQF) of Uvaria littoralis ( U. littoralis ) leaves. Methods : The antioxidant compounds namely total flavonoids contents (TFCs) and total proanthocyanidins contents (TPACCs) were determined for quantities constituent’s characterization. Antioxidant capacity of U. littoralis leaves were estimated by the iron reducing power (IRPA), 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging and nitric oxide (NO) radical scavenging capacity. Anticholinesterase effects were estimated for acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinestrase (BChE) activity. Results : The EAF of U. littoralis leaves showed the highest TFCs as compared to CLF, CME, PEF and AQF. TPACCs were also found highest in EAF. The highest absorbance for IRPA was found in EAF (2.220 nm) with respect to CME and other fractions at the highest concentration. The EAF showed best DPPH and NO radical scavenging activity with IC 50 values of 31.63 and 55.47 I¼g/mL, respectively with regard to CME and remaining fractions. The PEF represents highest AChE inhibitory activity with IC 50 values of 35.19 I¼g/mL and CLF showed highest BChE inhibitory activity with IC 50 values of 32.49 I¼g/mL. Conclusions : The findings of the current study demonstrate the presence of antioxidant phytochemicals, likewise, turns out antioxidant and anticholinesterase potentiality of U. littoralis leaves which could be a prestigious candidate for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases especially AD.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a new model of continuous improvement, named NAMS cycle, which is composed of four inter-related components: al-N?yyah bi al-Ikhl?s, al- ‘Amal, alMu??saba, and al?hukr.
Abstract: Continuous improvement in products/services is a vital element of total quality management (TQM). To strengthen competitive advantage in the market, organisations must continuously improve quality of products and services. Whether this process is termed as Jidoka, Kaizen, PDSA, 5-S, Six Sigma, or JIT, the purpose is to continually improve product/service quality or process quality. However, these models focus solely on mundane benefits. Developing a model of continuous improvement from an Islamic perspective is the major objective of this study. By nature, the study is an exploratory one and theoretically based on library research and is rooted in the Qur’?n and Sunnah. The major outcome of this research is development of a new model of continuous improvement, named NAMS cycle. This cycle is composed of four inter-related components: al-N?yyah bi al- Ikhl?s, al- ‘Amal, al-Mu??saba, and al-?hukr. Having the initial letters of the components the model is named. In turn, each component consists of a number of elements, for example al-N?yyah bi al- Ikhl?s consists of intention, objectives, and planning. Organisations have to fulfil two prerequisites for successful implementation of the model in their premises which are top management commitment and strongly motivated work team.

TL;DR: The developed fire extinguisher robot can be operated in multiple modes using the DTMF and Bluetooth remote control as well as GSM and GPS technology.
Abstract: In this paper, design and development of a multiple sensors based fire extinguisher robot is proposed and implementation is demonstrated with a brief discussion of construction and operation. The developed fire extinguisher robot can be operated in multiple modes using the DTMF and Bluetooth remote control as well as GSM and GPS technology. Basically, three different sensors of flame sensor, temperature sensor, and smoke sensor have been used to ensure proper detection of fire. The robot can be controlled using both DTMF remote control and Android smartphone and can be operated in three different modes. The first mode allows full autonomous operation of the robot which can be activated by the user or by the robot itself based on the situation. The second mode is a line following mode where robot follows a black drawn line to detect fire and the third mode is complete manual operation using remote control.

TL;DR: A security device is proposed which is developed from the concept of conventional calling bell which analyzes the fingerprint of a person and matches it with stored fingerprint database to categorize the person as home member or known guest or unknown guest and when it detects a home member the entrance door automatically opens.
Abstract: The term ‘Home Security’ numerously growing as a major concerning issue in today's life. The challenge of developing a home security device is to make it user friendly which can reduce human effort as well as ensure safety and security of people and their home. In this paper, a security device is proposed which is developed from the concept of conventional calling bell. The device analyzes the fingerprint of a person and matches it with stored fingerprint database to categorize the person as home member or known guest or unknown guest. When it detects a home member the entrance door automatically opens. In case, the person categorize as known guest, the device sounds a tune but don't open the door automatically rather people inside home can open the entrance door from anywhere of the home. As guest is known people don't need to walk towards door to open it. And when device detects the person as unknown guest, it generates a tunes which is different from previous one making aware the people inside that an unknown person wish to enter your home.

TL;DR: The study showed that each and every mode presents different difficulties which have not been fully solved yet, such as feature points of a face, voice clarity in audio, video summarization and so on, and are great research opportunities for the future researchers.
Abstract: The scatter form of multimedia data such as text, image, audio, and video posted regularly in the social media may contain useful information for the organizations. But, this information should be derived with the use of some form of analysis known as Multimodal Sentiment Analysis (MSA). But, there is a lack of proper analytic tools for such analysis. This paper presents a thorough overview of more than fifty most recent MSA research articles to find the gaps in terms of tasks, approaches theories and applications used till date. There seems to be no single approach, theory, and tool which can support MSA. The study showed that each and every mode presents different difficulties which have not bee n fully solved yet, such as feature points of a face, voice clarity in audio, video summarization and so on, and are great research opportunities for the future researchers. Also, this research recommends a list of existing and upcoming difficulties and opportunities of MSA research.
