TL;DR: This paper has modeled nature related concepts of holy Quran using OWL (Web Ontology Language) / RDF (Resource Description Framework) and it is shown that, using the Ontological model, SPARQL queries can retrieve verses and concepts of interest.
Abstract: The holy Quran is the holy book of the Muslims. It contains information about many domains. Often people search for particular concepts of holy Quran based on the relations among concepts. An ontological modeling of holy Quran can be useful in such a scenario. In this paper, we have modeled nature related concepts of holy Quran using OWL (Web Ontology Language) / RDF (Resource Description Framework). Our methodology involves identifying nature related concepts mentioned in holy Quran and identifying relations among those concepts. These concepts and relations are represented as classes/instances and properties of an OWL ontology. Later, in the result section it is shown that, using the Ontological model, SPARQL queries can retrieve verses and concepts of interest. Thus, this modeling helps semantic search and query on the holy Quran. In this work, we have used English translation of the holy Quran by Sahih International, Protege OWL Editor and for querying we have used SPARQL.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a conceptual model of continuous improvement in TQM from Islamic perspective which is named as NAMS Cycle (initial letters of the components) where the main components are al-nīyah bil ikhlas, amal, muhāsaba and shukr.
Abstract: Continuous improvement (CI), one of the vital principles of total quality management (TQM), is now being practiced in almost every organization regardless their natures, shapes, and sizes. After developing the concept of CI in 1930s, Muslims are using the models and approaches developed by the non-Muslim scholars based on their own cultures and beliefs. The main purpose of conducting this particular study is to develop a new model of CI in TQM from Islamic perspective. After an extensive literature review, the researchers have developed a conceptual model of CI in TQM from Islamic perspective which is named as NAMS Cycle (initial letters of the components) where the main components are al-nīyah bil ikhlas , amal , muhāsaba and shukr . All of these components also consist of some other constructs. Both the Muslim and non-Muslim believers will be benefited from this research if they have good faith in the Creator and the Day of Judgment. Aus. Aca. Busi & Eco. Rev Vol 4(1), January 2018, P 1-16

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparative and comprehensive analysis is done to identify the best-suited model for earthquake prediction using some pioneer computationally intelligent and probabilistic machine learning algorithms, such as support vector machine, random forest, decision tree, naive Bayes, and k-nearest neighbor.
Abstract: Earthquake prediction concerns specifying the earthquake's occurrence time, location, latitude, longitude, and intensity level. The determination of factors for the next earthquake happening in a region is very hard, almost impossible because earthquake occurrence depends on many things, such as changes in global warming, underground seismic wave, underground explosions, and underground rocks colliding, etc. But, nowadays, many types of research have been done around the world to build an earthquake warning system which upon detection of an earthquake, provides a real-time warning to the neighboring regions that might be affected. In this study, only the Spatio-temporal seismic data of Bangladesh is analyzed to propose an earthquake prediction model using the probabilistic assumption of the next earthquake happening in and around the Bangladesh region. The experimental dataset contains 100 years of a historical earthquake happening records in and around Bangladesh from the year 1918 to 2018 and this data is collected from Bangladesh Meteorological Department's (BMD) climate division. A comparative and comprehensive analysis is done to identify the best-suited model for earthquake prediction using some pioneer computationally intelligent and probabilistic machine learning algorithms, such as support vector machine, random forest, decision tree, naive Bayes, and k-nearest neighbor.

TL;DR: In this paper, the physical properties of Zr2PbC under pressure using DFT were investigated, where the lattice constants drop linearly from a = 3.41 to 2.97 and c = 14.60 with increasing pressure ranging from 0 to 100 GPA.
Abstract: This study investigates the physical properties of Zr2PbC under pressure using DFT. The lattice constants drop linearly from a = 3.41 to 2.97 A and c = 14.96 to 13.60 A with increasing pressure ranging from 0 to 100 GPA. The negative formation enthalpy confirms the thermodynamic stability the pressurized phases. Moreover, the Born stability factors are satisfied by elastic constants, ensuring the mechanical stability of pressurized and non-pressurized Zr2PbC. The compound switches from brittle to ductile and the maximum ductility is observed at 20 GPa pressure, as the Pugh's ratio decreases from 0.67 to 0.37 and Poisson's ratio increases from 0.23 to 0.34. The anisotropy becomes more intensive with pressure. Although the band structure has been tuned under pressure, the metallic nature is retained. The co-existence of covalent, metallic, and ionic bonding is observed in Zr2PbC. The optical functions suggest the potential applications of this compound in various sectors.

TL;DR: Among the all extracts, MEHO exhibited moderate antibacterial activity and showed zone of inhibition in highest concentration of 2 mg/ml against Gram - positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus.
Abstract: Objective: To examine the antibacterial effects of different extracts of Hopea odorata leaves against bacteria and to determine their total flavonoid content. Methods: Leaves of Hopea odorata was extracted with pure methanol (MEHO), ethanol (EEHO) and water (AEHO), which are tested for antibacterial activity on three Gram positive and three Gram negative bacteria by disk diffusion method. Total flavonoid content determined based on the method of Wang et al . Result: Among the all extracts, MEHO exhibited moderate antibacterial activity. It showed zone of inhibition in highest concentration of 2 mg/ml against Gram - positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus
