TL;DR: In this paper, a horizontally inverse double L-shaped metamaterial with a square split ring resonator on the outer side was etched on a Rogers RT5880 dielectric substrate material.
Abstract: The principle purpose of this study was to produce a horizontally inverse double L-shaped metamaterial that was applicable for triple-band applications and that exhibited negative permittivity and permeability in the resonance frequencies. The horizontally inverse double L-shaped structure had a square split ring resonator on the outer side that was etched on a Rogers RT5880 dielectric substrate material. The size of the unit cell was 10 × 10 mm2. The CST Microwave Studio electromagnetic simulator was utilized for the design and analysis of the proposed metamaterial. Analyses and comparisons were performed with different configurations, such as the use of different substrates, varying the width of the splits, and the use of different array arrangements. All the arrangements confirmed that triple-band operation frequency lay in the C-, X-, and Ku-bands. The double negative and negative refractive index regions as seen in the unit cell results and the array results harmonized between 6–7.632 GHz, 7.932–8.388 GHz, 9.204–9.804 GHz, 10.284–13.356 GHz, 13.716–16.632 GHz, 16.872–17.136 GHz, 17.52–17.652 GHz and 10.692–12.828 GHz, 13.02–13.5 GHz, 14.928–18 GHz, respectively. The scattering parameters dimensions of the introduced horizontally inverse double L-structured metamaterial is favorable for different applications associated with C-, X-, and Ku-bands such as long-distance, military, and satellite communications.

TL;DR: In this article, a five-phase process model underpinned by two well-grounded theories: Becker's human capital theory and Kirkpatrick's training evaluation taxonomy has been proposed for developing entrepreneurship having universal application.
Abstract: Around 3 billion people are living in poverty of which 35 % are from Muslim World (World Bank 2010). In this case, global Muslim community has prime role to address the injustice of global poverty through zakah as an Islamic faith-based institution and having potential annual fund of $139.32 billion in Muslim world. This study designed an explanatory sequential mixed method. For qualitative data, 17 managers were interviewed and 85 zakah recipients were purposively surveyed (disproportionate sampling) for quantitative purpose between August 1 and December 30, 2013. The results indicate that zakah has significant bearing on the conditions of zakah recipients and lie the foundation of developing small business entrepreneurship by mobilizing zakah as seed money (investment) and not as spent money (consumption). A five-phased process model underpinned by two well-grounded theories: Becker’s human capital theory and Kirkpatrick’s training evaluation taxonomy has been proposed for developing entrepreneurship having universal application. The model’s implications for alleviating poverty by governments, zakah management institutions, and policy makers also discussed in the paper.

TL;DR: In this article, the elastic properties, Debye temperature, Mulliken population, Vickers hardness, and charge density of two recently synthesized superconducting ScRhP and ScIrP pnictides are investigated.
Abstract: For the first time, we have reported in this study an ab initio investigation on elastic properties, Debye temperature, Mulliken population, Vickers hardness, and charge density of the two recently synthesized superconducting ScRhP and ScIrP pnictides The optimized cell parameters show fair agreement with the experimental results The mechanical stability of both ternary phosphides is confirmed via the calculated elastic constants Both compounds are ductile in nature and damage tolerant ScIrP is expected to be elastically more anisotropic than ScRhP The estimated value of Debye temperature predicts that ScRhP is thermally more conductive than ScIrP and the phonon frequency in ScRhP is higher than that in ScIrP Both pnictides are soft and easily machinable due to their low Vickers hardness Moreover, the hardness of ScRhP is lower due to the presence of antibonding Rh-Rh in ScRhP The metallic conductivity of ScRhP reduces significantly when Rh is replaced with Ir The main contribution to the total density of states (TDOS) at Fermi-level (EF) comes from d-electrons of Sc and Rh/Ir in both pnictides These two ternary compounds are characterized mainly by metallic and covalent bonding with little ionic contribution The calculated superconducting transition temperatures fairly coincide with the reported measured values
