TL;DR: Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy logic based speed control of an induction motor provides an alternative control to ensure high-performance industrial drive over the conventional PI controller.
Abstract: Induction motors are widely used electrical machine in different kind of industry due to its simplicity, ruggedness, versatility, reliability, low cost, quiet operation, less maintenance, high performance and longevity. This paper presents Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy logic based speed control of an induction motor. Constant voltage and frequency ratio-based control or scaler control is used to maintain its speed at desired value under load change. Since fuzzy logic includes human like idea in its algorithm, it can smoothly control a range of operating point of the induction motor whereas conventional PI control gives poor performance over wide range of variation. This work also presents a comparison between conventional PI control and fuzzy logic control for induction motor (IM) drive considering wide variation of load. Matlab Simulink platform is used to design the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. Control properties of induction motor are derived from its d-q based mathematical model. The result from disturbance analysis under sudden load change shows superior dynamic performance of Fuzzy logic controller over conventional PI controller. It provides an alternative control to ensure high-performance industrial drive over the conventional PI controller.

TL;DR: Bio-inspired cyber security architecture for smart grid is developed with discussion on the core elements of the architecture which can be easily implemented in the smart grid without changing any element of its infrastructure.
Abstract: Smart grid is an advanced and intelligent form of conventional power grid with high fidelity power-flow control, self-healing, and energy reliability using advance computer and communication technologies. The idea of integrating power systems with complex computer communication has introduced serious cyber security concerns as it requires significant dependence on secured communication infrastructures. Because of the wide nature of smart grid, it is very risky to compromise any component of the grid which may lead to serious damage to the electrical infrastructure, energy theft and unnecessary expenditure. Studying various smart grid security architectures, efficient bio-inspired complete security architecture for smart grid is proposed in this work which can be easily implemented in the smart grid without changing any element of its infrastructure. Bio-inspired cyber security architecture for smart grid is developed with discussion on the core elements of the architecture. The threat detection is tested with simulation using popular KDDDump dataset and real time gas pipe line SCADA data.

TL;DR: A comparative analysis between Circular Patch Antenna, Ultra Wideband (UWB) Antenna and MicrostripPatch Antenna for breast cancer cell detection is presented by reviewing various antenna parameters, performance and efficiency.
Abstract: Breast cancer is a deadly disease for women and it is one of the rapidly increasing diseases of the world. To prevent the diseases, it should be detected at a very primary stage. Researchers completed many researches to detect the cancer cell accurately. Among these researches, Circular Patch Antenna, Ultra Wideband (UWB) Antenna and Microstrip Patch Antenna are mostly used antennas for breast cancer cell detection. A comparative analysis between these antennas is presented by reviewing various antenna parameters, performance and efficiency.

TL;DR: This paper tried to represent a total of 11 Bangla vowels in simpler and accurate look by proposing a 58-segmented display, and derived a very simple, scientific logic to find segments out of matrix display.
Abstract: Different segmented display systems have been proposed for representing Bangla and English alphabets and numerals in past few years. In order to distinguish Bengali Vowels in precise form, they must be represented with their unavoidable curved shapes. Accurate recognition of Vowels is difficult due to their complex shapes. In this paper, we tried to represent a total of 11 Bangla vowels in simpler and accurate look. To improve their accuracy, we have proposed a 58-segmented display. And we derived a very simple, scientific logic to find segments out of matrix display. We have introduced a 4-bit input line to represent all the Bengali Vowels, analyzed all the 58-sements against each and every Vowel, and designed the suitable circuit for each of the 58 segments.

TL;DR: In this paper, a lower band negative index metamaterial is developed for specific absorption rate reduction using a plastic substrate-based structure, which is printed on the plastic cover body of the wireless device.
Abstract: In this paper, a lower band negative index metamaterial is developed for specific absorption rate reduction. The proposed metamaterial is printed on the plastic cover body of the wireless device. The metamaterial structure has been designed and characterized using FIT technique based EM simulator CST Microwave studio. The perceptible outcome of this paper is specific absorption reduction using plastic substrate based metamaterial structure.
