TL;DR: In this paper, the electrophoretic deposition of Titanium Oxide (P25) nanoparticles on Fluorine doped Tin Oxide substrate has been studied and three deposition parameters such as deposition time, deposition distance, and deposition voltage have been varied to get a uniform metaloxide layer.
Abstract: In this investigation, electrophoretic deposition of Titanium Oxide (P25) nanoparticles on Fluorine doped Tin Oxide (FTO) substrate has been studied. Three deposition parameters such as deposition time, deposition distance, and deposition voltage have been varied to get a uniform metal-oxide layer. The rate of deposition has been observed by varying those three parameters. Rate of deposition clearly increases as an effect of increasing deposition time and voltage. On the other hand, rate of deposition decreases by increasing the distance between the substrates. Surface morphology image shows that huge amount of cracks are formed while the amount of deposition increases beyond a certain level. By observing the surface morphology, optimized deposition parameters have been proposed for the deposition of TiO 2 for thick microfilm application.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the rights and duties of buyer and seller in both common law and Islamic law and found out similarities and dissimilarities of both laws regarding caveat emptor.
Abstract: The Sale of Goods Act, 1930 deals with one of the important branches of contract especially the moveable goods with which the general people in the world deal every day. In dealing with the goods proposed for sale must be free from any known or unknown defect of either party of the contract of sale. Regarding the sale of defective goods the buyer has some remedies against the default seller in both common law and Islamic law. In common law it is known as “Caveat Emptor” (Buyer be aware) and in Islamic law it is known as “Khiyar al aib” (Option of defect). It is the general rule that the buyer should have an opportunity to satisfy himself as to the quality of the goods for his particular purpose and in absence of any query or unskilled test by the buyer, the seller is not to be liable for anything. In this article efforts have been made to examine the rights and duties of buyer and seller in Common law and Islamic Law. An attempt has also been made to find out similarities and dissimilarities of both laws regarding caveat emptor. Thus the paper, through the analysis of both laws, tries to address the problems and solutions related to caveat emptor. IIUC Studies Vol.10 & 11 December 2014: 201-216

TL;DR: The methanolic extract of Ficus sagittata vahl showed remarkable antimicrobial activity against all the organism but is showed the highest activity against Escherichia coli, and possesses the potentiality for further research as an antimicrobial and cytotoxic agent.
Abstract: Objective: The present study was aimed to evaluate the brine shrimp cytotoxic lethality and antimicrobial activity of methanolic extract of leaves of Ficus sagittata vahl.. Phytochemical screening was also evaluated. Methods: To determine these activities, Ficus sagittata vahl. was tested against various gram positive and gram negative bacterial organism through disc diffusion method and cytotoxic activity by brine shrimp lethality assay. For antimicrobial activity, various concentrations of 1000 µg/disc, 800 µg/disc, 500 µg/disc, and 300 µg/disc were used. For cytotoxic activity various concentration of 5 µg/ml, 10 µg/ml, 50 µg/ml, 100 µg/ml, 150 µg/ml, and 200 µg/ml were used. Results: The methanolic extract showed remarkable antimicrobial activity against all the organism but is showed the highest activity against Escherichia coli and its zone of inhibition was 23 mm at concentration of 1000 µg/disc compared to 33 mm that of positive control kanamycin. The crude methanolic extract showed strong cytotoxic activity with LC 50 value of 31.73 µg/ml compared to that of 0.839 µg/ml exhibited by the positive standard vincristine sulphate. The phytochemical screening revealed the presence of phenols, tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids, carbohydrate, saponin, glycosides, and steroids. Conclusion: From our evaluation, we conclude that, Ficus sagittata vahl. possesses the potentiality for further research as an antimicrobial and cytotoxic agent.
