Abstract: Multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) refers to making decisions in the presence of multiple and usually conflicting criteria. Fuzzy decision-making is used where vague and incomplete data exist for the solution. Fuzzy multicriteria decision-making is one of the most popular problems handled by the researchers in the literature. In this paper, we survey the latest status of fuzzy multicriteria decision-making methods and classify these methods dividing into two parts: fuzzy multiattribute decision-making (MADM) and fuzzy multiobjective decision-making (MODM). Most of the publications are on fuzzy MADM since there are a plenty of classical multiattribute decision-making methods in the literature. Tabular and graphical illustrations for each method are given.

Abstract: This study reviews the existing erosion and sediment transport models developed at hillslope and watershed scales. The method followed in this review is to summarize the models with a focus on the physically based modeling technique as well as with a brief discussion about empirical and conceptual models. Approaches for determining the sediment transport capacity of flow are explained. The extension of a sediment transport model to a nutrient transport model is then discussed. Finally, the future of erosion and sediment transport models are projected to include the probabilistic description of hydrology, the physical characteristics of the watershed, and the stochastic structure of soil properties. The review is expected to be of interest to researchers, watershed managers and decision-makers while searching for models to study erosion and sediment transport phenomena and related processes such as pollutant and nutrient transport.

Abstract: A 50 kyr-long exceptionally well-dated and highly resolved stalagmite oxygen (δ 18O) and carbon (δ 13C) isotope record from Sofular Cave in northwestern Turkey helps to further improve the dating of Greenland Interstadials (GI) 1, and 3–12. Timing of most GI in the Sofular record is consistent within ±10 to 300 years with the “iconic” Hulu Cave record. Larger divergences (>500 years) between Sofular and Hulu are only observed for GI 4 and 7. The Sofular record differs from the most recent NGRIP chronology by up to several centuries, whereas age offsets do not increase systematically with depth. The Sofular record also reveals a rapid and sensitive climate and ecosystem response in the eastern Mediterranean to GI, whereas a phase lag of ∼100 years between climate and full ecosystem response is evident. Finally, results of spectral analyses of the Sofular isotope records do not support a 1,470-year pacing of GI.
