TL;DR: The academic and policy debate regarding the role of central banks and financial regulators in addressing climate-related financial risks has rapidly expanded in recent years as mentioned in this paper, where the key controversies and potential research and policy avenues for the future are discussed.
Abstract: The academic and policy debate regarding the role of central banks and financial regulators in addressing climate-related financial risks has rapidly expanded in recent years. This Perspective presents the key controversies and discusses potential research and policy avenues for the future. Developing a comprehensive analytical framework to assess the potential impact of climate change and the low-carbon transition on financial stability seems to be the first crucial challenge. These enhanced risk measures could then be incorporated in setting financial regulations and implementing the policies of central banks.

TL;DR: In this paper, weak ergodicity is defined as the tendency for a chain to forget the distant past, even if the probabilities of being in a given state do not tend to a limit as the number of trials increases.
Abstract: The paper deals with weak ergodicity, i.e. the tendency for a chain to ‘forget’ the distant past. This may occur in non-homogeneous chains even if the probabilities of being in a given state do not tend to a limit as the number of trials increases.Investigation of the general conditions of weak ergodicity leads to the definition of a special subclass of regular matrices. Conditions for chains involving regular matrices are also given (§§2,3).Section 4 discusses similarities in asymptotic behaviour between chains whose transition matrices differ only by small amounts.

TL;DR: Pilots get practice on flight simulators before they take on the responsibility of lives and this book allows your to predict the outcome of current and future situations on the whole system by testing different scenarios.
Abstract: Pilots get practice on flight simulators before they take on the responsibility of lives. Business managers are just sent out to manage - no feedback; no practice. This book allows your to predict the outcome of current and future situations on the whole system by testing different scenarios.
