••
TL;DR: In this paper, a new method for drug causality assessment is described and applied to reports of acute liver injuries, using reports with positive rechallenge as external standard.
1,291 citations
••
TL;DR: An international meeting was organized to test the feasibility of adapting for international use the outcome of the French consensus meetings on drug-induced liver disorders, and resulted in a series of proposed standard designations of drug- induced liver disorders and criteria of causality assessment.
1,055 citations
••
TL;DR: An examination of cells collected by washing the peritoneum revealed a large decrease between 15 and 30 min after injection of the irritant, which suggested that the prostaglandins could be produced by neutrophil polynuclear cells but also by destruction of macrophages.

••
TL;DR: It is concluded that adverse drug reaction reports with a positive rechallenge can provide a standard for validation of causality assessment methods, and RUCAM applied to drug-induced liver injuries has been validated.

TL;DR: Prior incubation of rat anterior pituitary cells with 17beta-estradiol led to an almost complete reversal of the inhibitory effect of two dopamine agonists, dihydroergocornine and RU 24213, on both basal prolactin release and thyrotropin releasing hormone-induced prolactins.
Abstract: Prior incubation of rat anterior pituitary cells with 17beta-estradiol led to an almost complete reversal of the inhibitory effect of two dopamine agonists, dihydroergocornine and RU 24213, on both basal prolactin release and thyrotropin releasing hormone-induced prolactin release. These experiments thus demonstrate a direct interference of dopamine action by a peripheral hormone. Prolactin secretion by pituitary cells in primary culture could possibly serve as an easily accessible model of a system under dopaminergic control.
