Abstract: Die Begriffe nucleophiler und elektrophiler Angriff werden durch die beiden neuen Begriffe nucleofuger und elektrofuger Austritt erganzt. Dadurch wird es moglich, die Mechanismen ionischer Reaktionen in eine Folge von Elementarvorgangen zu zerlegen, deren jeder einem der vier Grundtypen entspricht. So wirken bei Substitutionen ein Angriff und ein Austritt, bei Additionen zwei Angriffe und bei Eliminationen zwei Austritte zusammen. Gekoppelte Reaktionen und Reaktionen mit einem Simultan-(„push-pull”)-Mechanismus lassen sich in gleicher Weise zerlegen.
