TL;DR: A course inclusive of two lectures, a short group voice therapy, home-controlled voice exercises, and hygiene, represents a feasible and cost-effective primary prevention of voice disorders in a homogeneous and well-motivated population of teachers.

TL;DR: Evidence is presented that this so-called ‘in vitro two-cell block’ can be obviated by injecting small amounts of cytoplasm from embryos which do not exhibit this block.
Abstract: Although the embryos of certain mammals, including man, can be cultured in vitro through several cleavage divisions1,2, it is only in the mouse that complete development through the preimplantation period (one-cell to the blastocyst stage3) occurs without affecting subsequent embryonic viability after transfer1,4. But even in the mouse, development in vitro from the one-cell to the blastocyst stage is restricted to certain inbred strains and F1 hybrids1,3,5,6. In most randomly bred strains the one-cell embryo becomes blocked at the two-cell stage in vitro and it will only continue development if transferred back into the oviduct7. Here we present evidence that this so-called ‘in vitro two-cell block’ can be obviated by injecting small amounts of cytoplasm from embryos which do not exhibit this block.

Abstract: Paul Seymour conjectured that any graphG of ordern and minimum degree of at leastk/k+1n contains thekth power of a Hamiltonian cycle Here, we prove this conjecture for sufficiently largen

TL;DR: It is found that composition and crystalline structure of the tin element played important roles in the CO2 generation: non-alloyed Pt46-(SnO2)54 core-shell particles demonstrated a strong capability for C-C bond breaking of ethanol than pure Pt and intermetallic Pt/Sn, showing 4.1 times higher CO2 peak partial pressure generated from EOR than commercial Pt/C.
Abstract: Platinum-tin (Pt/Sn) binary nanoparticles are active electrocatalysts for the ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR), but inactive for splitting the C-C bond of ethanol to CO2. Here we studied detailed structure properties of Pt/Sn catalysts for the EOR, especially CO2 generation in situ using a CO2 microelectrode. We found that composition and crystalline structure of the tin element played important roles in the CO2 generation: non-alloyed Pt46-(SnO2)54 core-shell particles demonstrated a strong capability for C-C bond breaking of ethanol than pure Pt and intermetallic Pt/Sn, showing 4.1 times higher CO2 peak partial pressure generated from EOR than commercial Pt/C.
