A Simple Sequentially Rejective Multiple Test Procedure
TLDR
In this paper, a simple and widely accepted multiple test procedure of the sequentially rejective type is presented, i.e. hypotheses are rejected one at a time until no further rejections can be done.Abstract:
This paper presents a simple and widely ap- plicable multiple test procedure of the sequentially rejective type, i.e. hypotheses are rejected one at a tine until no further rejections can be done. It is shown that the test has a prescribed level of significance protection against error of the first kind for any combination of true hypotheses. The power properties of the test and a number of possible applications are also discussed.read more

Foot Drop Stimulation Versus Ankle Foot Orthosis After Stroke 30-Week Outcomes
Patricia M. Kluding,Kari Dunning,Michael W. O'Dell,Samuel S. Wu,Jivan Ginosian,Jody Feld,Keith McBride +6 more
TL;DR: Evidence is provided that FDS or AFO with initial physical therapy sessions can provide a significant and clinically meaningful benefit even years after stroke, as shown in the FASTEST trial.

Culture and the role of choice in agency.
TL;DR: It is indicated that social expectations to meet the needs of family and friends tend to be more fully internalized among Indians than among Americans, and the need to incorporate items that tap more internalized meanings of role-related social expectations on measures of motivation in the tradition of self-determination theory is highlighted.

Multiple-documents literacy: Strategic processing, source awareness, and argumentation when reading multiple conflicting documents
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used think-aloud methodology to explore the strategic processing of 51 Norwegian undergraduates reading about an unfamiliar scientific issue in multiple conflicting documents presented in a Google-like environment.

Long-term impacts of logging on forest diversity in Madagascar.
Kerry A. Brown,Jessica Gurevitch +1 more
TL;DR: This work investigated the impacts of logging 50 and 150 years ago on tropical forest vegetation in Madagascar, a "hotspot" of biodiversity, and found logging was the overriding factor influencing establishment of nonnative plants.

Emotional avoidance and panicogenic responding to a biological challenge procedure
TL;DR: This paper found that individuals high in experiential avoidance endorsed more panic symptoms, more severe cognitive symptoms, and more fear, panic, and uncontrollability than their less avoidant counterparts.
