A Simple Sequentially Rejective Multiple Test Procedure
TLDR
In this paper, a simple and widely accepted multiple test procedure of the sequentially rejective type is presented, i.e. hypotheses are rejected one at a time until no further rejections can be done.Abstract:
This paper presents a simple and widely ap- plicable multiple test procedure of the sequentially rejective type, i.e. hypotheses are rejected one at a tine until no further rejections can be done. It is shown that the test has a prescribed level of significance protection against error of the first kind for any combination of true hypotheses. The power properties of the test and a number of possible applications are also discussed.read more

Pushing on a string: US monetary policy is less powerful in recessions
TL;DR: The authors estimate the impulse response of key US macro series to monetary policy shocks identified by identifying the monetary policies that cause the monetary shocks and their effects on the US economy, and present a model to estimate the response of these macro series.

Are women with fibromyalgia less physically active than healthy women
TL;DR: This controlled study objectively demonstrates that FM patients are less physically active than healthy controls, thus extending on two earlier investigations that did not show differences in total physical activity levels using wrist-mounted actigraphy methods.

TL;DR: These findings support the assessment of executive function in persons with AD and the importance of frontal lobe dysfunction in AD.

Prevention of deep-vein thrombosis after total hip replacement: direct thrombin inhibition with recombinant hirudin, CGP 39393.
TL;DR: This study indicates that specific inhibition of thrombin by prophylactic CGP 39393 significantly reduces thromboembolic complications in patients undergoing total hip replacement.

The influence of age on the take-over of vehicle control in highly automated driving
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated how older drivers compared to younger drivers performed in a critical traffic event when driving highly automated vehicles and found that older drivers reacted as fast as younger drivers, however, they differed in their modus operandi as they braked more often and more strongly and maintained a higher time-to-collision (TTC).

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a case of two means regression method for the family error rate, which was used to estimate the probability of a family having a nonzero family error.

Simultaneous test procedures-some theory of multiple comparisons'
TL;DR: The Simultaneous Test Procedure (STP) as discussed by the authors is a generalization of the notion of multiple comparisons for means, which was originally proposed by Aitchison and Roy.
