A Simple Sequentially Rejective Multiple Test Procedure
TLDR
In this paper, a simple and widely accepted multiple test procedure of the sequentially rejective type is presented, i.e. hypotheses are rejected one at a time until no further rejections can be done.Abstract:
This paper presents a simple and widely ap- plicable multiple test procedure of the sequentially rejective type, i.e. hypotheses are rejected one at a tine until no further rejections can be done. It is shown that the test has a prescribed level of significance protection against error of the first kind for any combination of true hypotheses. The power properties of the test and a number of possible applications are also discussed.read more

GATES: a rapid and powerful gene-based association test using extended Simes procedure.
TL;DR: An extended Simes test that integrates functional information and association evidence to combine the p values of the single nucleotide polymorphisms within a gene to obtain an overall p value for the association of the entire gene is proposed.

Effects of interactive physical-activity video-game training on physical and cognitive function in older adults.
TL;DR: Assessment of exergame training based on physically simulated sport play as a mode of physical activity that could have cognitive benefits for older adults found it to be a very effective way to induce desirable lifestyle changes in older adults.

Developmental Stages and Sex Differences of White Matter and Behavioral Development through Adolescence: A Longitudinal Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) Study
TL;DR: Analysis of diffusion tensor imaging in 128 individuals aged 8-28 found that earlier WM growth in adolescence was associated with faster and more efficient responding and better inhibitory control whereas later growth in adulthood wasassociated with poorer performance, suggesting that the timing of WM growth is important for cognitive development.

Updating the evolutionary history of Carnivora (Mammalia): a new species-level supertree complete with divergence time estimates
TL;DR: Together, the two carnivore supertrees remain the only complete phylogenetic estimates for all extant species and the new supertree, like the old one, will form a key tool in helping us to further understand the biology of this charismatic group of carnivores.
