A Simple Sequentially Rejective Multiple Test Procedure
TLDR
In this paper, a simple and widely accepted multiple test procedure of the sequentially rejective type is presented, i.e. hypotheses are rejected one at a time until no further rejections can be done.Abstract:
This paper presents a simple and widely ap- plicable multiple test procedure of the sequentially rejective type, i.e. hypotheses are rejected one at a tine until no further rejections can be done. It is shown that the test has a prescribed level of significance protection against error of the first kind for any combination of true hypotheses. The power properties of the test and a number of possible applications are also discussed.read more

TL;DR: Among preschool children with acute gastroenteritis, those who receive a 5‐day course of L. rhamnosus GG did not have better outcomes than those who received placebo, and the rate of household transmission was unchanged.

Age-related differences in performance with touchscreens compared to traditional mouse input
TL;DR: While older adults were significantly slower than younger adults in general, the touchscreen reduced this performance gap relative to the desktop and mouse, and resulted in a significant movement time reduction for older adults.

Adapting Teacher Interventions to Student Needs During Cooperative Learning: How to Improve Student Problem Solving and Time On-Task
TL;DR: In this paper, a model of teacher interventions (TIs) conducted during cooperative learning to examine how they affected students' subsequent time on-task (TOT) and problem solving was presented.

TL;DR: The effects of an 8‐week exercise training program with a special focus on light‐ to moderate‐intensity resistance exercises and a subsequent 4‐week training cessation period (detraining) on muscle strength and functional capacity in participants aged 90 and older are assessed.

Effects of an oral appliance with different mandibular protrusion positions at a constant vertical dimension on obstructive sleep apnea.
TL;DR: The aim of the study was to assess the influence of four mandibular protrusion positions, at a constant vertical dimension, on obstructive sleep apnea and recommend coming to a weighted compromise between efficacy and side effects by starting a MAD treatment in the 50% protrusion position.

Simultaneous test procedures-some theory of multiple comparisons'
TL;DR: The Simultaneous Test Procedure (STP) as discussed by the authors is a generalization of the notion of multiple comparisons for means, which was originally proposed by Aitchison and Roy.
