A Simple Sequentially Rejective Multiple Test Procedure
TLDR
In this paper, a simple and widely accepted multiple test procedure of the sequentially rejective type is presented, i.e. hypotheses are rejected one at a time until no further rejections can be done.Abstract:
This paper presents a simple and widely ap- plicable multiple test procedure of the sequentially rejective type, i.e. hypotheses are rejected one at a tine until no further rejections can be done. It is shown that the test has a prescribed level of significance protection against error of the first kind for any combination of true hypotheses. The power properties of the test and a number of possible applications are also discussed.read more

ABCB1 genotype and PGP expression, function and therapeutic drug response: a critical review and recommendations for future research.
TL;DR: This critical review of ABCB1 genotype and PGP function, including mRNA expression, PGP–substrate drug pharmacokinetics and drug response, highlights methodological limitations of existing studies, including inadequate power, potential confounding by co-morbidity and co-medication, multiple testing, poor definition of disease phenotype and outcomes, and analysis of multiple drugs that might not be PGP substrates.

Dispersal of adult aquatic insects in catchments of differing land use
TL;DR: The stream corridor, including the riparian strip extending 10‐20 m on either side of the channel, is the main habitat for adult aquatic insects, and its management may affect the biodiversity of aquatic communities.

TL;DR: Metrifonate was safe and well-tolerated, and enhanced not only the cognitive and global function, but also the behavioral function of patients diagnosed with mild to moderate AD.

TL;DR: HIV disease progression is affected by HIV-1 subtype and this finding may impact decisions on when to initiate antiretroviral therapy and may have implications for future trials of HIV- 1 vaccines aimed at slowing disease progression.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that, unlike FOXO3A, FOXO1A is more closely associated with human female longevity, suggesting that the genetic contribution to longevity trait may be affected by genders.
