Synthesis and characterization of poly(amino acid methacrylate)-stabilized diblock copolymer nano-objects

TL;DR: An efficient route for the synthesis of poly(amino acid methacrylate)stabilized diblock copolymer nano-objects is described and aqueous electrophoresis studies indicate that all threeCopolymer morphologies exhibit cationic character below pH 3.5 and anionic character above pH 3 5.5, which corresponds to the known behavior of the poly(Amino acid methamphetamine) steric stabilizer chains.

Resistive Switching in High-Density Nanodevices Fabricated by Block Copolymer Self-Assembly

TL;DR: A scalability limit for ultrahigh density memory arrays based on continuous HfO2 thin films is disclosed, in which a cross-talk between distinct nanodevices can occur during both set and reset transitions.

Large-Area Nanosquare Arrays from Shear-Aligned Block Copolymer Thin Films

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that square, rectangular, and rhombic arrays can be created via shear-alignment of distinct layers of cylinder-forming block copolymers, coupled with cross-linking of the layers using ultraviolet light.

Ambient temperature synthesis of triblock copolymers via orthogonal photochemically and thermally induced modular conjugation

TL;DR: In this paper, a modular ambient temperature synthesis of ABA and ABC triblock copolymers via a combination of photoinduced Diels-Alder reactions with thermal Diels−Alder reaction and azide-alkyne click chemistry is reported.

Postpolymerization Modification of Block Copolymers

TL;DR: The postpolymerization modification of block copolymers has seen a growing interest in the past decade ranging from fundamental synthesis and structure-property relationships to potential applications as discussed by the authors, which can retain the properties inherent to the parent blockcopolymer core, while introducing side-chain functionality that can allow for a tunable handle on material properties and consequently applications.

Ordered mesoporous molecular sieves synthesized by a liquid-crystal template mechanism

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis of mesoporous inorganic solids from calcination of aluminosilicate gels in the presence of surfactants is described, in which the silicate material forms inorganic walls between ordered surfactant micelles.

Block Copolymer Thermodynamics: Theory and Experiment

TL;DR: Block copolymers are macromolecules composed of sequences, or blocks, of chemically distinct repeat units that make possible the sequential addition of monomers to various carbanion-ter minated ("living") linear polymer chains.

Block Copolymers—Designer Soft Materials

TL;DR: The Knitting Pattern as mentioned in this paper is a block copolymer that was discovered by Reimund Stadler and his coworkers and reflects a delicate free-energy minimization that is common to all blockcopolymer materials.

Ultrahigh-Density Nanowire Arrays Grown in Self-Assembled Diblock Copolymer Templates

TL;DR: A simple, robust, chemical route to the fabrication of ultrahigh-density arrays of nanopores with high aspect ratios using the equilibrium self-assembled morphology of asymmetric diblock copolymers is shown.
