TLDR
The outcomes of CAD surgical treatment were improved in this group of patients due to the implementation of a mul-assisted revascularization of coronary and non-coronary arteries.
Abstract
Results. The incidence rate of significant non-cardiac occlusive stenotic lesions in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD), who had to undergo CABG, was 15,84 %. Simultaneous revascularization of coronary and non-coronary arteries was performed in 2,46 % of patients with CAD and PolyVD and multi-stage surgical proced ures were chosen in other cases. Conclusions. The outcomes of CAD surgical treatment were improved in this group of patients due to the implementation of a mul-

Glutathione catalysis and the reaction mechanisms of glutathione-dependent enzymes.

TL;DR: This comprehensive review summarizes fundamental principles of glutathione catalysis and compares the structures and mechanisms ofglutathione-dependent enzymes, including glutathion reductase, glutaredoxins, glutATHione peroxidases, peroxiredoxinases, glyoxalases 1 and 2, glutthione transferases and MAPEG.

Pneumocystis Carinii Pneumonia and Mucosal Candidiasis in Previously Healthy Homosexual Men. Evidence of a New Acquired Cellular Immunodeficiency

TL;DR: Analysis of peripheral-blood T-cell subpopulations suggested that cytomegalovirus infection was an important factor in the pathogenesis of the immunodeficient state.

Diversity of glutathione peroxidases.

TL;DR: The putative biological roles of the selenoenzymes, particularly those of the glutathione peroxidases (GPX), proved instrumental in the understanding of selenium deficiency syndromes in livestock and humans, although the emerging complexity of seenium enzymology still precludes definitive conclusions.

Genetic Sensitivity to the Environment: The Case of the Serotonin Transporter Gene and Its Implications for Studying Complex Diseases and Traits

TL;DR: The authors evaluate four lines of evidence about the 5-HTT stress-sensitivity hypothesis: observational studies about the serotonin transporter linked polymorphic region (5-HTTLPR), stress sensitivity, and depression in humans, research about one of the most extensive areas of inquiry.
