Systematic review: Outcomes of bariatric surgery in patients with inflammatory bowel disease and de-novo IBD development after bariatric surgery.
Areeb Mian,Shujhat Khan +1 more
TL;DR: In this article , a comprehensive literature review was conducted based on the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis guidelines (PRISMA), and 22 studies published up to March 2020 were included in this analysis.

Long-Term Outcomes After Colorectal Surgery in Patients with Ulcerative Colitis-Associated Colorectal Cancer Versus Sporadic Colorectal Cancer
Viviane A Lin,Robin Lohse,Michael Tvilling Madsen,Tina Fransgaard,Feza H. Remzi,Ismail Gögenur +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared long-term outcomes between patients with ulcerative colitis-associated colorectal cancer and patients with SCC using propensity score matching.

Assessing adherence to infusion-based biologic therapies in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
TL;DR: There was a wide range of adherence to biologic infusions in this IBD cohort with poorer adherence associated with patient related factors, and objectively measured remission was strongly associated with adherence, highlighting the need for targeted interventions to improve adherence and monitoring, and mitigate treatment delays.
The Relationship between Sleep Disturbance, Quality of Life and Psychosocial Functioning in Pediatric Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
Chaowapong Jarasvaraparn,Kimberly R. Zlomke,Noelle C. Vann,Bin Wang,Karen D. Crissinger,David A. Gremse +5 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that a positive association exists between sleep functioning and QoL in pediatric patients with IBD, and patients with pediatric IBD should be screened for sleep disturbance,QoL and psychosocial functioning.

Measuring inconsistency in meta-analyses
TL;DR: A new quantity is developed, I 2, which the authors believe gives a better measure of the consistency between trials in a meta-analysis, which is susceptible to the number of trials included in the meta- analysis.

Quantifying heterogeneity in a meta‐analysis
TL;DR: It is concluded that H and I2, which can usually be calculated for published meta-analyses, are particularly useful summaries of the impact of heterogeneity, and one or both should be presented in publishedMeta-an analyses in preference to the test for heterogeneity.

Operating characteristics of a rank correlation test for publication bias.
TL;DR: In this paper, an adjusted rank correlation test is proposed as a technique for identifying publication bias in a meta-analysis, and its operating characteristics are evaluated via simulations, and the test statistic is a direct statistical analogue of the popular funnel-graph.
