TLDR
In this article, the neutralino is proposed as the lightest superpartner in many supersymmetric theories, and it is shown how to calculate the cosmological abundance of neutralino and event rates for both direct and indirect detection schemes.

Supernovae and Weinberg's Higgs portal dark radiation and dark matter

TL;DR: In this article, Weinberg's Higgs portal model was re-examined and it was shown that in order for the Goldstone bosons to freely stream out of the proto-neutron star core region, the portal coupling has to be about a factor of 4-9 smaller than the current collider bound inferred from the SM Higgs invisible decay width.

Electron diffusion in a low pressure methane detector for particle dark matter

TL;DR: In this article, the transverse diffusion of drifted electrons in low pressure (19 −95 torr) methane was measured and the expected functional dependence of the diffusion coefficient on pressure, reduced electric field, and magnetic field was demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Improving the light collection using a new NaI(Tl) crystal encapsulation

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the development of an encapsulation technique that simplifies the overall design by attaching the photo sensors directly to the crystal so that light losses are minimized.

Dark Matter and the Higgs in Natural SUSY

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple extension of the MSSM that economically solves the problem of null results from dark matter direct detection experiments and the 125 GeV Higgs both pose serious challenges to minimal supersymmetry is proposed.

The Early Universe

TL;DR: In this article, the Robertson-Walker Metric is used to measure the radius of the Planck Epoch in the expanding universe, which is a measure of the number of atoms in the universe.

CP Violation in the Renormalizable Theory of Weak Interaction

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that no CP-violating interactions exist in the quartet scheme without introducing any other new fields, and that the strong interaction must be chiral SU ( 4) X SU( 4) invariant as precisely as the conservation of the third component of the iso-spin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Partial Symmetries of Weak Interactions

TL;DR: In this paper, the weak and electromagnetic interactions of leptons are examined under the hypothesis that the weak interactions are mediated by vector bosons, and it is shown that the simplest partially-symmetric model reproducing the observed electromagnetic and weak interactions requires the existence of at least four vector-boson fields (including the photon).
