TLDR
It is shown that introspective ability is correlated with gray matter volume in the anterior prefrontal cortex, a region that shows marked evolutionary development in humans, and this findings point to a focal neuroanatomical substrate for introspection ability, a substrate distinct from that supporting primary perception.

Dynamic influences on static measures of metacognition

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors show a relation between response caution and M-ratio, and show the same pattern in human participants explicitly instructed to focus on speed or accuracy, while when data are analyzed with a dynamic measure of metacognition, there is no effect of speedaccuracy tradeoff.

Introspection of complex cognitive processes

Gabriel Reyes
TL;DR: The present thesis presents a first systematic account of the functional architecture of introspective report, indicating that individuals with high reactivity to stress have a poorer introspective access of their mental states.

Practicing the Practice: The Heutagogy Community of Practice

TL;DR: The Heutagogy Community of Practice (HCOP) as mentioned in this paper was founded for the purpose of bringing together those interested in the theory and practice of heutagogic knowledge.

Post-decisional sense of confidence shapes speed-accuracy tradeoff for subsequent choices

TL;DR: The brain uses a subset of its post-decisional confidence signals for the ongoing adjustment of decision policies, as well as a formal framework for testing this idea, by fitting a bounded accumulation model to behavioral data from three different perceptual tasks.

The idiosyncratic nature of confidence

TL;DR: It is found that for most individuals, confidence did indeed reflect the perceived probability of being correct, but in approximately half of them, confidence also reflected a different probabilistic quantity: the observed Fisher information.

Voxel-Based Morphometry—The Methods

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the steps involved in VBM, with particular emphasis on segmenting gray matter from MR images with non-uniformity artifact and provide evaluations of the assumptions that underpin the method, including the accuracy of the segmentation and the assumptions made about the statistical distribution of the data.

A fast diffeomorphic image registration algorithm

TL;DR: DARTEL has been applied to intersubject registration of 471 whole brain images, and the resulting deformations were evaluated in terms of how well they encode the shape information necessary to separate male and female subjects and to predict the ages of the subjects.

Transformed Up‐Down Methods in Psychoacoustics

TL;DR: A broad class of up‐down methods used in psychoacoustics with due emphasis on the related problems of parameter estimation and the efficient placing of observations is described, including examples where conventional techniques are inapplicable.
