Inducible expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein in HT-1080 human fibrosarcoma cells

TL;DR: Transfecting a GFAP-negative human malignant fibrosarcoma cell line with a cDNA containing the entire coding sequence of the human GFAP gene under the control of an inducible metallothionein promoter suggests that the inducibles expression of the cytoskeletal protein GFAP can also be associated with dramatic cellular effects in nonglial non-central nervous system tumor cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lab-experimental (pre-clinical) therapeutics and pharmacology

Fa H. Yang, +330 more
- 01 Oct 2012 -
TL;DR: Rg3-NPs may be a potent cell-cycle regulation drug targeting the M-phase in glioblastoma cell lines and induced the expression of the apoptotic and antimigratory protein p53 in cell lines.
Journal ArticleDOI

Developing a Professionalism and Harassment Policy for Organized Neurosurgery.

TL;DR: The One Neurosurgery Summit Taskforce on Professionalism and Harassment developed a foundational policy that establishes common expectations for behavior and a unified roadmap for the prompt response to untoward events.
Journal ArticleDOI

Advances in the Management of Epilepsy

TL;DR: An update on the state-of-the-art management of epilepsy from both medical and surgical perspectives is provided and current techniques for temporal lobectomy, extratemporal cortical resections, corpus callosotomy, and treatment of hypothalamic hamartomas and tuberous sclerosis are reviewed.
