Imaging layer number and stacking order through formulating Raman fingerprints obtained from hexagonal single crystals of few layer graphene

TL;DR: Two Raman fingerprints obtained on two stepwise stacked graphene single-crystal domains with AB Bernal and turbostratic stacking are formed and resolve, quantitatively, the layer number and stacking type of various graphene domains that used to rely on tedious transmission electron microscopy for structural analysis.

Multiphonon Raman scattering in GaN nanowires

TL;DR: In this paper, the electron-phonon interaction energy has been investigated in a wurtzite GaN nanowire system and it has been shown that the Frohlich interaction of electron with the long range electrostatic field of ionic bonded GaN gives rise to enhancement in longitudinal optical phonon modes.
