Antigenic and Genetic Characteristics of Swine-Origin 2009 A(H1N1) Influenza Viruses Circulating in Humans

Rebecca Garten, +62 more
- 10 Jul 2009 -
TL;DR: The lack of similarity between the 2009 A(H1N1) virus and its nearest relatives indicates that its gene segments have been circulating undetected for an extended period as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genomic analysis of the causative agents of coccidiosis in domestic chickens

TL;DR: In this article, the authors have produced annotated genome sequences of all seven species of Eimeria that infect domestic chickens, which reveal the full extent of previously described repeat-rich and repeat-poor regions and show that these parasites possess the most repeat rich proteomes ever described, while no other apicomplexan has been found to possess retrotransposons.
Journal ArticleDOI

Epstein-Barr virus encoded dUTPase containing exosomes modulate innate and adaptive immune responses in human dendritic cells and peripheral blood mononuclear cells.

TL;DR: Findings suggest that the EBV-encoded dUTPase may act as an intercellular signaling molecule capable of modulating the cellular microenvironment and thus, it may be important in the pathophysiology of EBV related diseases.
