Journal ArticleDOI

The alkali molten globule state of horse ferricytochrome c: observation of cold denaturation.

TL;DR: Both sodium and guanidinium cations stabilize the alkali-denatured state at pH 13, presumably by a charge screening mechanism, and the Na(+)-stabilized conformation (B state) clearly meets with the molecular organizational definition of the generic molten globule state.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and synthesis of novel benzenesulfonamide containing 1,2,3-triazoles as potent human carbonic anhydrase isoforms I, II, IV and IX inhibitors.

TL;DR: It was found that most of tested compounds were weaker inhibitors of isoform, hCA II although compounds 7b, 7d-7e, 8a, 8d-8f, 8i (mostly with electron withdrawing substituents) have shown better inhibition potential, while against tumor associated hCA IX, all the compounds have shown moderate inhibition potential.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rationale for an international consortium to study inherited genetic susceptibility to childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia

TL;DR: The rationale for identifying genetic risk variants for acute lymphoblastic leukemia is reviewed, the proposed strategy for establishing the International Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia Genetics Consortium is proposed and a number of single nucleotide polymorphisms taken forward to large-scale replication are proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermomechanical interactions in transversely isotropic magnetothermoelastic medium with vacuum and with and without energy dissipation with combined effects of rotation, vacuum and two temperatures

TL;DR: In this article, a homogeneous transversely isotropic thermo-elastic rotating medium with two temperature and magnetic effect due to thermomechanical sources is investigated, where Laplace and Fourier transform technique is applied to solve the problem.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization of cellulose based adsorbents for removal of Ni(II), Cu(II) and Pb(II) ions from aqueous solutions

TL;DR: In this paper, the metal ions sorption was best fitted in the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir adsorption isotherm model and almost complete sorption of Pb(II) ions was observed for Cell-g-NIPAM-co-AAc copolymer.
