TL;DR: The findings indicate that screening of pregnant women for serum vitamin D content with the following timely supplementation during pregnancy will help to reduce the incidence of obstetrical and perinatal complications.
Abstract: Vitamin D deficiency is recognized as a public health problem in many countries around the world, with special attention being paid to pregnant women. In the last decade, studies have been conducted to link vitamin D deficiency during pregnancy with a wide range of obstetric and perinatal complications, namely preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, bacterial vaginosis, fetal growth retardation syndrome, low birth weight, impaired fetal formation and bone loss.Purpose. To study the characteristics of pregnancy and childbirth in women with vitamin D deficiency.Materials and methods. The article presents the study results of the pregnancy and childbirth characteristics in women with vitamin D deficiency. In total, 100 pregnant women of reproductive age were examined and two groups were formed: the main group – 50 pregnant women with vitamin D deficiency and the control group – 50 somatically healthy pregnant women with a normal level of 25(OH)D. Three peripheral blood sampling were performed to determine the serum level of 25(OH)D: at 10–12, 20–22 and 30–32 weeks of gestation.Results. As a result of our study, the most common complications of vitamin D deficiency were: risk of pregnancy termination, which was observed in 28 (56.0 %) women of the main group and in 6 (12.0 %) women of the control group, P < 0, 05. The threat of preterm birth was observed in 19 (38.0 %) women of the main group and 7 (14.0 %) women of the control group, P < 0.05. Mild preeclampsia was diagnosed in 18 (36.0 %) women of the main group and in 4 (8.0 %) women of the control group, P < 0.05; moderate preeclampsia was diagnosed in 9 (18.0 %) women of the main group and in none of the control women; severe preeclampsia – in 2 (4.0 %) women of the main group, which was not characteristic of the control group. Based on the glucose tolerance test in women of the main group, the diagnosis of gestational diabetes (GD) was established in 16 (32.0 %) pregnant women in the second trimester and in 7 (14.0 %) in the third trimester. In this study, it was found that GD was accompanied by first degree obesity in 7 (14.0 %) women of the main group. Bacterial vaginosis at 10–12 weeks was diagnosed in 18 pregnant women: in 15 (30.0 %) women of the main group and in 3 (6.0 %) of the control group, – P < 0.05; at 20–22 weeks in – 28 pregnant women: in 21 (42.0 %) women of the main group and in 7 (14.0 %) of the control group, P < 0.05; at 30–32 weeks it was diagnosed in 37 pregnant women: in 26 (52.0 %) women of the main group and in 11 (22.0 %) of the control group, – P < 0.05. Asymmetric fetal intrauterine growth restriction of the 1st degree was found in 6 (12.0 %), the 2nd degree – in 4 (8.0 %) pregnant women of the main group and no case in the control group women was reported.Conclusions. The established multiple actions of vitamin D and a number of obstetrical and perinatal complications, namely gestational diabetes, early and late spontaneous abortions, preterm birth, bacterial vaginosis associated with vitamin D deficiency, underline the urgency of this problem. The findings indicate that screening of pregnant women for serum vitamin D content with the following timely supplementation during pregnancy will help to reduce the incidence of obstetrical and perinatal complications.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of a personalized diet on 56 female patients with Type 2 diabetes were evaluated using a real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with the help of the developed information system.
Abstract: Type 2 diabetes is one of the most common noncommunicable diseases in the world. Recent studies suggest a link between type 2 diabetes and microbiota, as well as the ability to treat and prevent it using personalized approaches to nutrition. In this work, we conducted clinical studies on the effects of a personalized diet on 56 female patients. Biochemical, physical, and immunological parameters were measured by standard methods on days 1 and 18 of the experiment. Gut and oral microbiota studies were performed in dynamics on days 1, 7, 11, and 18 using real-time polymerase chain reaction. With the help of the developed information system, a personalized diet was developed for each participant of the experiment. In the group of patients following personalized diets a statistically significant decreasing levels of glucose, thymol test, creatinine, very low-density lipoprotein, urea, secretory IgA, and tumour necrosis factor-α, and improvement in all physical parameters were observed. There was a statistically significant increase in uric acid, sodium, and magnesium. Statistically significant changes in gut microbiota were observed in Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli (lac+, lac-), Lactobacillus spp., and Candida spp. Such microorganisms of oral microbiota as E. faecalis, Lactobacillus spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Candida spp. demonstrated statistically significant changes. All these changes indicate an improvement in the patients' condition in the experimental group compared to the control group. Our algorithm used for the development of personalized diets for patients with diabetes type 2 demonstrated clinical efficacy of its implementation.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focus on the problem of using e-learning, in particular Moodle system, during the Covid-19 pandemic and compare the views of on the use of Moodle in a classical university before, during and after the CvCid-2019 pandemic.
Abstract: The article focuses the problem of using e-learning, in particular Moodle system, during the Covid-19 pandemic. Moodle is widespread in high school and is an effective means of integrating traditional and distance learning. The aim of the study is to identify and compare the views of on the use of Moodle in a classical university before, during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. The author developed a questionnaire and included 1071 university students of different years of study in the online survey, including 800 Bachelor and 271 Master students; used IBM SPSS Statistics 23 for statistical analyses. Students were mostly easily registered (together the answers «very easy» and «rather easy») – 63-78% of students of different courses for studying in Moodle. Some difficulties are recorded by about 9-16% of students (together the answers are «very difficult» and «rather difficult») of different courses during registration. There was no statistically significant difference, according to the 2-criterion (p ≤0,05), in the indicators of student registration on various grounds: educational and professional level (Bachelor/Master), form of study (full-time/part-time training), gender (men/women), profession (pedagogical/other). The current research work found that students who were registered in Moodle system «very difficult» and «difficult», respectively, 81,4% and 58,9%, did not have any academic disciplines in Moodle system or had had very few ones before the Covid-19 pandemic. The lack of relevant e-learning experience probably led to further difficulties when registering with Moodle. The article describes the minor use of Moodle to educate students before the Covid-19 pandemic, as only 25% of Bachelor students and about 30% of Master students had studied most academic disciplines on this platform. These figures increased to almost 84% and 88% of Moodle use during the Covid-19 pandemic in distance learning, respectively. Bachelor (72%) and Master (78%) students expressed the wish to study most academic disciplines in Moodle after the end of the Covid-19 pandemic. A statistically significant difference (p≤0,05) was found between comparable groups of students (bachelor/master) before the Covid-19 pandemic regarding the use of Moodle, such a difference was not found during and after the Covid-19 pandemic
