Thermal, hydraulic and exergetic evaluation of a parabolic trough collector operating with thermal oil and molten salt based nanofluids

TL;DR: In this paper, the dispersion of CuO nanoparticles in Syltherm 800 (thermal oil) and in nitrate molten salt (60% NaNO3 − 40% KNO3) was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal Assessment of Nano-Particulate Graphene-Water/Ethylene Glycol (WEG 60:40) Nano-Suspension in a Compact Heat Exchanger

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the results of the experiments conducted on the convective heat transfer of graphene nano-platelets dispersed in water-ethylene glycol and found that the GNP nano-suspension promoted the Brownian motion and thermophoresis effect, such that for the tests conducted within the mass fractions of 0.1%−0.3%, the HTC of the system was improved.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mathematica simulation of peristaltic pumping with double-diffusive convection in nanofluids: a bio-nano-engineering model

TL;DR: In this paper, a theoretical study of peristaltic pumping with double-diffusive convection in nanofluids through a deformable channel is presented, where the model is based on the double diffusive convective convection model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heat transfer by natural convection of Fe3O4-water nanofluid in an annulus between a wavy circular cylinder and a rhombus

TL;DR: In this article, the role of natural convection and thermal radiation on thermo-hydrodynamics of nanofluid heat transfer in an annulus between a wavy circular cylinder and a rhombus enclosure subject to a uniform magnetic field is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nonlinear radiative heat transfer in MHD three-dimensional flow of water based nanofluid over a non-linearly stretching sheet with convective boundary condition

TL;DR: In this article, a theoretical investigation of the hydromagnetic three-dimensional boundary layer flow of nanofluid due to stretching sheet has been carried out in the presence of a nonlinear thermal radiation, Soret and Dufour effects.
