Reference-based stochastic subspace identification for output-only modal analysis

TLDR
In this paper, a novel approach of stochastic subspace identification is presented that incorporates the idea of the reference sensors already in the identification step: the row space of future outputs is projected into the rowspace of past reference outputs.

Model–Based Methods of Damage Identification of Structures Under Seismic Excitation

TL;DR: Vibration-based Structural Identification has become an increasingly popular experimental technique, e.g. for model calibration, control of structural behavior during construction, assessment of the efficiency of structural repair, and the development of operational modal analysis (OMA), avoiding the use of artificial vibration sources.

Tracking Modal Parameter Evolution of Different Cultural Heritage Structure Damaged by Central Italy Earthquake of 2016

Abstract: The preliminary results of an ambient-vibration based investigation conducted on a large sample of historic masonry towers in the Marche region (Central Italy) are presented, with a focus on the belfry of Collegiata of Santa Maria in Visso (Italy). The assessment procedure includes full-scale ambient vibration testing, modal identification from ambient vibration responses, finite element modeling and dynamic-based identification of the uncertain structural parameters of the model. As the most doubtful parameters, the modulus of elasticity of the masonry is adjusted to achieve the experimental results with numerical model by simple operations.

Modal equivalent method of full-area membrane and grid membrane

TL;DR: In this paper, a grid membrane is explored as the alternative structure, which can be less affected by air, and a modal equivalent method is established to make the natural frequencies and vibration modes of the original full-area membrane and the alternative grid membrane identical.
