Reference-based stochastic subspace identification for output-only modal analysis

TLDR
In this paper, a novel approach of stochastic subspace identification is presented that incorporates the idea of the reference sensors already in the identification step: the row space of future outputs is projected into the rowspace of past reference outputs.

Using a rhythmic human shaker to identify modal properties of a stationary human body on a footbridge

TL;DR: In this article , a simple but efficient transmissibility-based procedure for testing the dynamic properties of a human body is presented, which consists of two main steps, namely, to identify the modal properties of the supporting structure and to establish the transmissability of the human body.

An investigation on the capability of proper orthogonal modes in determining the natural frequencies and damping ratios of linear structural systems

TL;DR: In this article, a POD-based algorithm is proposed to extract the natural frequencies and damping ratios of linear dynamical systems from their experimental vibrational responses, and the accuracy and precision of the results are evaluated by numerical and experimental validation.
