Reference-based stochastic subspace identification for output-only modal analysis

TLDR
In this paper, a novel approach of stochastic subspace identification is presented that incorporates the idea of the reference sensors already in the identification step: the row space of future outputs is projected into the rowspace of past reference outputs.

Numerical and experimental analysis of the vibration serviceability of the Bears’ Cage footbridge

TL;DR: In this paper, the Bears' Cage footbridge is a slender steel structure with a single span and its dynamic behaviour is predicted based on a refined finite element (FE) model and the vibration serviceability is assessed according to the current codes of practice.

Modal analysis of structures based on distributed measurement of dynamic strains with optical fibers

TL;DR: Results from laboratory experiments on a beam indicate that distributed vibration strains collected by AT-BOTDA are sufficient for convergence, resulting in an accurate determination of the first two mode shapes.
