Reference-based stochastic subspace identification for output-only modal analysis

TLDR
In this paper, a novel approach of stochastic subspace identification is presented that incorporates the idea of the reference sensors already in the identification step: the row space of future outputs is projected into the rowspace of past reference outputs.

Combined approach for optimal sensor placement and experimental verification in the context of tower-like structures

TL;DR: For the reduction of computational time a combined approach using Fisher Information Matrix and mean-squared error in a two-step procedure is proposed under the consideration of different error types, leading to a sound experimental design that leads to a good estimate of the structure’s behavior and model parameters without the need of preliminary measurements for model updating.

Time-Domain Operational Modal Analysis in Machine Tools: Optimal Parameters and Practical Issues

TL;DR: It is shown that the function of reference nodes in measurement can be replaced by a time-alignment algorithm, if the noise level in signals are low, and SSI-OMA is computationally more efficient than previous implementations with a lower order of analysis and higher bandwidth.

An evolutionary nested sampling algorithm for Bayesian model updating and model selection using modal measurement

TL;DR: The main contribution of the presented algorithm is to greatly improve the sampling speed in the constrained sampling step by use of previous samples in order to promote the proposal of effective samples for Bayesian model updating and model selection.

Modal Parameter Identification of a Quayside Container Crane Based on Data-Driven Stochastic Subspace Identification

TL;DR: The overall structure of a quayside container crane was modally tested for the first time under ambient excitation and it can be found that the parameters identified by the proposed algorithm have high accuracy.
