Reference-based stochastic subspace identification for output-only modal analysis

TLDR
In this paper, a novel approach of stochastic subspace identification is presented that incorporates the idea of the reference sensors already in the identification step: the row space of future outputs is projected into the rowspace of past reference outputs.

Damage identification using modal strains identified from operational fiber-optic Bragg grating data:

TL;DR: Vibration-based structural health monitoring of civil structures relies on the repeated identification of dynamic structural characteristics of the structure from output-only vibration data as discussed by the authors, which is difficult to verify.

Damage detection of shear buildings using deflections obtained by modal flexibility

TL;DR: In this paper, a vibration-based damage detection method for shear buildings using the damage-induced deflections estimated by modal flexibility from ambient vibration measurements is proposed, which is based on outlier analysis to account for measurement noise.

Experimental Study of Damage Detection by Data-Driven Subspace Identification and Finite-Element Model Updating

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method, which combines the structural system identification and model updating techniques, for the damage detection of a steel frame structure and a RC frame, which consists of two steps: identifying the system dynamic characteristics using the subspace identification (SI) technique from input/output measurements and developing a damage assessment method for structural members (including joints) based on a progressive finite-element model updating and a large-scale optimization using a nonlinear least-square technique.
