Reference-based stochastic subspace identification for output-only modal analysis

TLDR
In this paper, a novel approach of stochastic subspace identification is presented that incorporates the idea of the reference sensors already in the identification step: the row space of future outputs is projected into the rowspace of past reference outputs.

Value of information from vibration-based structural health monitoring extracted via Bayesian model updating

TL;DR: In this article , the authors model the entire process of data generation to processing, model updating and reliability calculation, and investigate it on a deteriorating bridge system, assuming that dynamic response data are obtained in a sequential fashion from deployed accelerometers, subsequently processed by an output-only operational modal analysis scheme for identifying the system's modal characteristics.

Analysis of the long and short-term effects of temperature and humidity on the structural properties of adobe buildings using continuous monitoring

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a case study of the San Pedro Apostol Church of Andahuaylillas located in Cusco, inside the Andean region of Peru, a 16th-century church considered as a masterpiece of South American baroque architecture.

Vibration Monitoring of a Steel-Plated Stress-Ribbon Footbridge: Uncertainties in the Modal Estimation

TL;DR: In this article, a low-cost vibration-monitoring system was developed and installed on an urban steel-plated stress-ribbon footbridge, where the system continuously measured the acceleration [using 18 triaxial microelectromechanical system (MEMS) accelerometers distributed along the structure], ambient temperature, and the wind velocity and direction.

Comparison of Experimental and Operational Modal Analysis on a Laboratory Test Plate

TL;DR: A thorough comparison of EMA and OMA tests of a Plexiglas plate is presented and it is concluded that no significant differences were found between modal parameters obtained by OMA and EMA.

Sparse Component Analysis Using Time-Frequency Representations for Operational Modal Analysis

TL;DR: This paper considers the sparsity of sources' time-frequency (TF) representation and proposes a new TF-domain SCA under the OMA framework and uses the K-hyperline clustering algorithm to identify the direction vectors of the hyperlines and recover the modal responses.
