Reference-based stochastic subspace identification for output-only modal analysis

TLDR
In this paper, a novel approach of stochastic subspace identification is presented that incorporates the idea of the reference sensors already in the identification step: the row space of future outputs is projected into the rowspace of past reference outputs.

Operational Modal Analysis of Torsional Modes in Rotating Machinery

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used Operational Modal Analysis (OMA) to identify the modal parameters of a system from measurement of response due to some unknown (unknown) excitation, which has proven successful over the past several decades on non-rotating structures but has relatively rarely been applied to rotating machinery.

Combined experimental and numerical Approaches to the Assessment of historical Masonry Structures

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a wide range of tests from the local to the global behaviour and varying among non-destructive, minor destructive and destructive tests, with the support of real and measured experiences.

Vibration monitoring and condition assessment of the University of Sheffield Arts Tower during retrofit

TL;DR: In this article, the structural changes were reflected in changes in dynamic properties that were tracked by a combination of long-term acceleration monitoring and vibration tests to identify local and global vibration modes.

Full-scale monitoring of wind effects on a supertall structure during six tropical cyclones

TL;DR: In this paper, field monitoring of wind effects on a 600-m high supertall structure is obtained during 6 tropical cyclones by means of a sophisticated long-term structural health monitoring (SHM) system deployed on the structure.

Identification of unknown structural loads from dynamic measurements using robust observers

TL;DR: In this article, an innovative model free passive technique for automatic impact location detection is elaborated and extended by incorporation of a fast robust load estimation method, and a novel approach of rank deficiency compensation is proposed for the direct time deconvolution procedure in the non-collocated case.

TL;DR: Markov parametric algorithm for effective construction of minimal realizations of linear state-variable finite-dimensional dynamical systems from input-output data is presented in this article, where a Markov-parametric algorithm is used to construct the minimal realization.
