Reference-based stochastic subspace identification for output-only modal analysis

TLDR
In this paper, a novel approach of stochastic subspace identification is presented that incorporates the idea of the reference sensors already in the identification step: the row space of future outputs is projected into the rowspace of past reference outputs.

Data Fusion for Frequency Domain Stochastic Subspace Identification

TL;DR: This paper adapts a method for covarianceand data-driven Stochastic Subspace Identification to automatically normalize and merge the data from multiple setups in order to obtain the global modal parameters, and uses spectra data instead of time series data in frequency domain.

Characterization of the modal response using Deep recurrent neural networks

TL;DR: In this paper , a case study for which there is very little literature despite being one of the most common building types in urban areas is presented, showing that these models are capable of capturing with high precision the annual evolution of the modal frequency and performing well even on a daily scale, making it suitable for damage detection.

The role of uncertainty in evaluating condition and vulnerability of constructed systems

TL;DR: In this paper, a set of experiments on a laboratory physical model to investigate the effects of these two groups of uncertainties on modal parameter identification is presented. But, the results of these experiments are limited due to the inherent complexity of constructed systems and their loading environments, leading to limitations in the application of the above tenets.

Application of FE Model Updating for Damage Assessment of FRP Composite Beam Structure

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the FRP composite beam structure that is intended to represent a deck prototype used in civil engineering construction, and proposed a model updating procedure to bring the numerical results of the structure in proper correlation to the experimental results.

Subspace Identification for Linear Systems: Theory - Implementation - Applications

TL;DR: This book focuses on the theory, implementation and applications of subspace identification algorithms for linear time-invariant finitedimensional dynamical systems, which allow for a fast, straightforward and accurate determination of linear multivariable models from measured inputoutput data.

Effective construction of linear state-variable models from input/output functions.

B. L. Ho, +1 more
TL;DR: Markov parametric algorithm for effective construction of minimal realizations of linear state-variable finite-dimensional dynamical systems from input-output data is presented in this article, where a Markov-parametric algorithm is used to construct the minimal realization.
