Fracture monitoring of steel and GFRP reinforced concrete beams using acoustic emission and digital image correlation techniques
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Optimized energy allocation in battery powered image sensor networks
Chao Yu,Gaurav Sharma +1 more
TL;DR: This work characterize the network lifetime as a stochastic random variable that depends upon the coverage geometry for the sensors and the distribution of data requests over the monitored region and considers optimized strategies for energy allocation among the sensors that maximize the expected network lifetime.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association and interplay of surgeon and hospital volume with mortality after open abdominal aortic aneurysm repair in the modern era.
Gaurav Sharma,Arin L. Madenci,Arin L. Madenci,Kerollos Nashat Wanis,Leah Comment,Christine E. Lotto,Samir K. Shah,Samir K. Shah,C. Keith Ozaki,S. V. Subramanian,Jens Eldrup-Jorgensen,Michael Belkin +11 more
TL;DR: Surgeons and hospitals in the VQI registry achieved mortality outcomes below 5% (SVS guidelines) with an average surgeon volume that was substantially lower compared with previous reports, suggesting it is important to contextualize outcomes within hospital volumes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improving the performance parameters of microstrip patch antenna by using ebg substrate
Gaurav Sharma,Narinder Sharma +1 more
TL;DR: In this method, to overcome several intrinsic limitations of patch antennas such as constrict bandwidth, low bandwidth, excitation of surface waves, the EBG concept is applied.
Journal Article
Oral Lichen Planus in a Pediatric Patient: A Novel Therapeutic Approach.
TL;DR: A rare case of a symptomatic oral lichen planus occurring in a 12-year old child that was managed successfully with a novel sequential modality of topical retinoids followed by aloe vera gel application is presented.
