Journal ArticleDOI

The Saliva Metabolome in Association to Oral Health Status.

TL;DR: Oral parameters and metabolites associated with periodontal variables were associated with bacterial metabolite phenylacetate, a promising substance for further biomarker research and alterations of the salivary metabolome in association with age and oral health status were revealed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Large-scale genome-wide association studies and meta-analyses of longitudinal change in adult lung function.

Wenbo Tang, +99 more
- 01 Jul 2014 -
TL;DR: This large-scale genome-wide GWAS of the rate of change in forced expiratory volume in the first second of FEV1 in 14 longitudinal, population-based cohort studies using linear mixed effects model and combined cohort-specific results using fixed effect meta-analysis identified two novel genetic loci associated with longitudinal change in lung function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Alexithymia and brain gray matter volumes in a general population sample

TL;DR: Lower GM volume in the dACC represents the major structural correlate of alexithymia and suggests a prominent involvement of left temporal areas in cognitive processing of emotions and the conscious identification of feelings.
