Journal ArticleDOI

Phosphorylation of BLM, Dissociation from Topoisomerase IIIα, and Colocalization with γ-H2AX after Topoisomerase I-Induced Replication Damage

TL;DR: A defect in γ-H2AX signaling in response to unrepaired replication-mediated double-strand breaks might, at least in part, explain the camptothecin-sensitivity of BLM-deficient cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure of the catalytic domain of avian sarcoma virus integrase with a bound HIV-1 integrase-targeted inhibitor.

TL;DR: The x-ray structures of an inhibitor complex of the catalytic core domain of avian sarcoma virus integrase (ASV IN) were solved and identified the structural elements of the inhibitor that likely determine its binding properties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cell death induced by topoisomerase inhibitors. Role of calcium in mammalian cells.

TL;DR: The results suggest that topoisomerase II-mediated DNA breaks are only potentially lethal and that calcium-dependent cellular processes are required for the cytotoxicity of topoisomersase inhibitors.
