TL;DR: In this paper, the radiation is focused onto the film by a lenticular lens having a plurality of optically active elements to provide a radiation pattern on the film and remove or displace portions of the film to form a corresponding pattern, preferably a conductive pattern.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for patterning areas of a radiation absorbent film material. In the preferred embodiment, the film material is at least partially electrically conductive. The radiation is focused onto the film by a lenticular lens having a plurality of optically active elements to provide a radiation pattern on the film and remove or displace portions of the film to form a corresponding pattern, preferably a conductive pattern. The film may have one or more layers or regions, but at least one region must be radiation absorbent in order to allow the formation of patterns in the film in accordance with the present invention. The areas of the film affected by the phenomenon of radiation absorption are non-conductive voids which may separate the film into a plurality of conductive grid lines whereby the film is useful with a conductive lens film to increase the apparent efficiency of a photovoltaic cell.

TL;DR: In this paper, a double-barrel dispensing container with two side-by-side outlets and a cap with two closure portions for simultaneously closing both outlets when the cap is connected to the container is described.
Abstract: A container and cap assembly includes a double barrel dispensing container having two side-by-side outlets, and a cap with two side-by-side closure portions for simultaneously closing both outlets when the cap is connected to the container. The cap includes two protruding orienting sections for orienting the cap relative to the container as the cap is connected to the container. The orienting sections insure that each closure portion comes into contact with the same outlet each time the cap is coupled to the container so that small quantities, if any, of materials flowing through one outlet and deposited on one closure portion of the cap cannot cross-contaminate materials in the remaining barrel after the cap is removed and then re-connected to the container after a dispensing operation.

TL;DR: A compact fiber optic housing has a tray divided into front and rear areas by a partition, the rear area receiving excess slack from optical fibers, and the front area having a bulkhead for receiving fiber optic connectors as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A compact fiber optic housing has a tray divided into front and rear areas by a partition, the rear area receiving excess slack from optical fibers, and the front area having a bulkhead for receiving fiber optic connectors The front and rear areas overlap to optimize the space within the tray; the tray may consist of a single base supporting the front and rear areas, or of two separate front and rear shelves which are removably attached to each other The bulkhead includes clips which releasably secure the connectors to the tray, the clips being received in apertures in the base of the tray A lower tier of the partition slightly overlies the apertures Each clip is formed from a single piece of sheet metal, having a base for insertion into the apertures, and having a bulkhead riser extending perpendicularly from the base, the riser having a hole for receiving the connector coupling The base of each clip has two tines extending under the lower tier of the partition, defining a slot which may be used for removing the clip

TL;DR: In this article, a package for an adhesive precoated dental appliance such as an orthodontic bracket includes a container (22) having a well (24) and a flange (26, 426), and a cover (32, 132, 242, 342, 432) that extends over an opening of the well.
Abstract: A package for an adhesive precoated dental appliance (28) such as an orthodontic bracket includes a container (22) having a well (24) and a flange (26, 426), and a cover (32, 132, 242, 342, 432) that extends over an opening of the well. A pressure sensitive adhesive (34, 133, 333, 434) releasably connects the cover (32, 132, 242, 342, 432) to the flange (26, 426) along a first region, and a hermetic seal (36) extends between the cover (32, 132, 242, 342, 432) and the flange (26, 426) along a second region that is located between the first region and the opening of the well. The hermetic seal (36) cooperates with the pressure sensitive adhesive (34, 133, 333, 434) to provide a reliable, easily openable package. The hermetic seal (36) also prevents volatile components of adhesive (30) on the dental appliance (28) from contacting the pressure sensitive adhesive (34, 133, 333, 434) and thereby decreases loss of the volatile components from within the package in order to extend the expected shelf life of the adhesive precoated appliance (28).
