TL;DR: In this article, a method and apparatus for precision control of work fluids in a squeezable tube that has no surge of work material during the shut off closing of the tube is presented.
Abstract: Presented is a method and apparatus for precision control of work fluids in a squeezable tube that has no surge of work material during the shut off closing of the tube which is accomplished by a compensator moving simultaneously and oppositely to the shut off member movement, each of the compensator and the shut off member having different stroke lengths and tube engagable surface areas which effectively keep the internal volume of the tube the same. The method and apparatus are useful standing alone, in coordination with precision positive displacement pumping under computer control which is also presented, and as a part of sequential or simultaneous movement of a valve/pump dispensing head coordinated with a stationary or movable work piece to provide exceedingly fine control dispensing. Suckback between dispensing shots is coordinated with shut off and movements of inlet, outlet and dispensing members to afford operator programmable dispensing with precision and without drip.

TL;DR: In this article, an inhalation device for use with a pressurized aerosol canister is described. The device involves an electromechanical mechanism for applying a priming force to the aerosol before or at the start of inhalation.
Abstract: An inhalation device for use with a pressurized aerosol canister. The device involves an electromechanical mechanism for applying a priming force to the aerosol canister prior to or at the start of inhalation. The device also involves a blocking mechanism. The electromechanical mechanism electromechanically applies to the aerosol canister a priming force sufficient to actuate the aerosol canister, and the blocking mechanism prevents the priming force from actuating the aerosol canister until inhalation is detected.

TL;DR: In this article, an apparatus and method for recalibrating a multi-color imaging system is provided. But the method is limited to a single image and is not suitable for the case of multiple color images.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for recalibrating a multi-color imaging system are provided. The multi-color imaging system is capable of applying different colorants to a substrate based on a plurality of input color values. The input color values control amounts of the colorants to be applied to the substrate by the imaging system. A subset of the input color values is selected and used to control the imaging system to apply one or more of the different colorants to the substrate, thereby forming a plurality of different color patches on the substrate. The subset of input color values is selected such that one or more of the different color patches is formed by application of a combination of at least two of the different colorants to the substrate. Color values are measured for each of the different color patches, and compared to reference color values, representing a calibrated condition of the imaging system. An error value is calculated. The error value represents a deviation of the measured color values from the reference color values. The input color values for each colorant then are independently adjusted to reduce the error value to a predetermined degree.

TL;DR: A polymerizable acrylic composition comprises at least one acrylic monomer, an effective amount of an organoborane amine complex having structure (I), wherein R?1 is an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; R?2 and R3? are independently selected from phenyl-containing groups and alyl groups having 1.5:1; R4 is selected from the group consisting of CH?2?CH2OH and (CH2)xNH2 wherein x is an integer greater than 2, R?5? is hydrogen or an al
Abstract: A polymerizable acrylic composition comprises: (a) at least one acrylic monomer; (b) an effective amount of an organoborane amine complex having structure (I), wherein R1 is an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; R?2 and R3? are independently selected from phenyl-containing groups and alkyl groups having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; R4 is selected from the group consisting of CH?2?CH2OH and (CH2)xNH2 wherein x is an integer greater than 2; R?5? is hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; and the nitrogen atom to boron atom ratio is about 1:1 to 1.5:1; and (c) an effective amount of an acid for initiating polymerization of the acrylic monomer. The polymerizable acrylic compositions are especially useful for bonding low surface energy substrates.
