TL;DR: In this article, the fluoropolymer and the fluorochemical surfactant are selected such that the article is anti-reflective, abrasion resistant and anti-fogging.
Abstract: An article comprising substrate having a surface and a coating on the surface of the substrate, the coating comprising a fluoropolymer and a fluorochemical surfactant. The fluoropolymer and the fluorochemical surfactant are selected such that the article is anti-reflective, abrasion resistant and anti-fogging. Methods of making the same are also described.

TL;DR: A multi-layered film is a multi-layer film consisting of an interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) layer and at least one fluoro-containing polymer layer.
Abstract: A multi-layered film disposed upon a substrate, the multi-layer film comprising: (a) an interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) layer; and (b) at least one fluoro-containing polymer layer. The multi-layered film of the present invention as described above wherein the fluoro-containing polymer layer comprises a perfluoro-acrylate homo- or co-polymer or a perfluoro-vinyl non-acrylate homo- or co-polymer and such layer is typically sequenced between the PSA layer and the IPN layer. The multi-layered film of the invention is disposed upon a substrate. The substrate can be a cured adhesive, preferably a cured pressure-sensitive adhesive. Alternatively, the substrate can be a surface to be protected from exposure to weather, chemical exposure, graffiti, or the like, such as, for example, a vehicle such as an automobile, a truck, a boat, or an aircraft; an outdoor sign, or a building exterior.

TL;DR: In this article, a device for measuring the concentrations of a selected gaseous component in a mixture of gases comprises a detector material capable of reacting with the component to be monitored disposed in a chamber having an inlet, and a porous gas flow attenuating sheet closes the end of the chamber distally, the detector substance and the mixture being monitored to prevent impingement of moving gas upon said detector substance while permitting contact of ambient gas thereon.
Abstract: A device for measuring the concentrations of a selected gaseous component in a mixture of gases comprises a detector material capable of reacting with the component to be monitored disposed in a chamber having an inlet. A porous gas flow attenuating sheet closes the end of the chamber distally, the detector substance and the mixture of gases being monitored to prevent impingement of moving gas upon said detector substance while permitting contact of ambient gas thereon. The device is useful in combination with a filter element, providing a means to monitor the remaining effective life of the filter and also as a detector useful for measuring the exposure of various articles and human beings to hazardous gases.

TL;DR: In this article, a thin film culture plate device with a body member including a self-supporting substrate and an apertured spacer member attached to the upper surface of the substrate is described.
Abstract: The present invention provides a thin film culture plate device (10) having a body member (11) including a self-supporting substrate (12) coated on it's upper surface (14) with a layer of adhesive composition (18) and a layer of cold-water-soluble powder (20) and having an apertured (24) spacer member (23) attached to the upper surface of the substrate. These thin film culture plate devices may also include an optional cover sheet (22) covering at least a portion of the apertured (24) spacer member (23). Kits including microorganism filters and/or packages containing nutrient mixtures and/or selective agents are described.

TL;DR: In this paper, a durably soil-resistant carpet is provided which comprises a plurality of organic fibers having thereon a normally solid coating comprising (a) at least one phase of a water-insoluble addition polymer derived from a polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer free of non-vinylic fluorine.
Abstract: A durably soil-resistant carpet is provided which comprises a plurality of organic fibers having thereon a normally solid coating comprising (a) at least one phase of a water-insoluble addition polymer derived from a polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer free of non-vinylic fluorine, the polymer having at least one major transition temperature higher than about 45° C. and a solubility parameter of at least about 8.5, and (b) at least one phase of a water-insoluble fluorinated component containing a fluoroaliphatic radical of at least 3 carbon atoms, the fluorinated component having at least one major transition temperature higher than about 45° C.; and at least one of said phases being a continuous phase. Novel compositions and processes for the treatment of carpets to render them durably soil resistant are also provided.
