TL;DR: In this article, a unique antenna unit having upper and lower sensors, each sensor having two orthogonal solenoid coils, are processed to yield corresponding digital values, which are combined in a novel formula to yield a value which has been empirically found to be indicative of lateral postion.
Abstract: An apparatus for determining the direction to and position of a buried conductor carrying an AC signal. The apparatus employs a unique antenna unit having upper and lower sensors, each sensor having two orthogonal solenoid coils. The signals from these coils, which are representative of the magnetic flux therethrough, are processed to yield corresponding digital values. The numbers are combined in a novel formula to yield a value which has been empirically found to be indicative of lateral postion. An appropriate display is controlled by the microprocessor according to the sign and magnitude of the positional value.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors described a method for the preparation of a coated abrasive by a method comprising the steps of: (a) providing a coatable composition comprising a binder curable by free-radical polymerization, said composition having lapping size abrasive grains suspended therein, coating said composition on a backing, and (b) curing said composition by means of free radical polymerization.
Abstract: Coated abrasive comprising a backing and abrasive grain adhered to said backing by means of a binder. The binder is prepared from a composition that is curable by free-radical polymerization. The composition contains abrasive grain suspended therein at the time the composition is coated onto the backing. The abrasive exhibits high endurance for extended periods of use. The coated abrasive is prepared by a method comprising the steps of: (a) providing a coatable composition comprising a binder curable by free-radical polymerization, said composition having lapping size abrasive grains suspended therein, (b) coating said composition on a backing, and (c) curing said composition by means of free-radical polymerization.

TL;DR: In this paper, a microwave susceptor with projections such as linear ridges which define circulation channels is described, which allow food secretions such as grease and steam to pass through the susceptor.
Abstract: A microwave susceptor having projections such as linear ridges which define circulation channels such as linear grooves. The susceptor may include apertures at the ridge apexes and the groove nadirs for allowing food secretions such as grease and steam, to pass through the susceptor. A strut may be releasably coupled to the susceptor for increasing the structural integrity of the susceptor.

TL;DR: A low-density abrasive product formed of a uniform cross-section web comprised of continuous three-dimensionalally undulated inter-engaged autogenously bonded filaments of high yield strength filament-forming material impregnated with a tough adherent binder which adherently bonds the filaments together and also bonds a multitude of abrasive granules uniformly dispersed throughout the web as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: A low-density abrasive product formed of a uniform cross-section lofty web comprised of continuous three-dimensionally undulated inter-engaged autogenously bonded filaments of high yield strength filament-forming material impregnated with a tough adherent binder which adherently bonds the filaments together and also bonds a multitude of abrasive granules uniformly dispersed throughout the web. The abrasive article is made by forming the web by an extrusion process, uniformly coating the filaments of the web with a liquid curable binder resin, depositing the abrasive granules onto the web coating, curing the first binder coating, applying a second coating of liquid curable binder and then curing the binder.

TL;DR: An orthodontic bracket includes a base with a central opening and a body with a passage aligned with the opening as mentioned in this paper, and a curing light assembly that is removably received in the passage for curing adhesive beneath the central section of the bracket body.
Abstract: An orthodontic bracket includes a base with a central opening, and a body with a passage aligned with the opening. A curing light assembly includes an outer end portion that is removably received in the passage for curing adhesive beneath the central section of the bracket body. Once the adhesive beneath the central section of the bracket body has cured to temporarily tack the bracket base to the patient's tooth, adhesive extruded from the peripheral edge of the bracket base can be readily removed without dislodging the bracket from its intended position.
