TL;DR: In this article, a pavement marking sheet material consisting of a non-crosslinked elastomeric precursor such as acrylonitrile-butadiene polymer, a thermoplastic polymer such as polyethylene which reinforces the sheet material, e.g., by orientation of the thermoplastics so that the calendered product exhibits greater tensile strength downweb than crossweb, and a particualte inorganic filler, which preferably includes platelet-type fillers such as talc, mica, or magnesium silicate.

TL;DR: In this paper, two substantially planar discs sandwich pivoting joint elements there between, and slides, also between the discs, can move independently in a wide range of angular positions about the pivoting axis of the joint and be fixed in any selected positions.
Abstract: Two substantially planar discs sandwich pivoting joint elements therebetween. Slides, also between the discs, can move independently in a wide range of angular positions about the pivoting axis of the joint, and be fixed in any selected positions. Slides comprise two elements drawn together radially to clamp onto circumferential rims provided on the discs. Joint bending in each direction is independently controlled. Internal opposed teeth on the disc rims and slides engage when the slides are positioned.

TL;DR: In this article, an exposure indicating apparatus and indicating method includes a sensor having a property responsive to a concentration of a target species, and an indicator is activated as a function of the concentration signal.
Abstract: An exposure indicating apparatus and indicating method includes a sensor having a property responsive to a concentration of a target species. A processing device generates a concentration signal as a function of the property and an indicator is activated as a function of the concentration signal. The indicator is activated at a signaling rate indicative of an exposure indicating apparatus operating within predefined design parameters and at an exposure signaling rate indicative of the concentration attaining a predetermined threshold concentration. The indicator may also be activated at a signaling rate indicative of an exposure indicating apparatus operating outside of the predefined design parameters, and after the predetermined threshold concentration is attained, the indicator may be activated at an exposure signaling rate which varies as a function of the concentration signal.

TL;DR: In this article, an inhalation activatable dispenser for use with an aerosol container in which a latch mechanism releasing vane is pivotably mounted in an air passage between the aerosol outlet valve and a mouthpiece, and the latch mechanism cannot be released if force to activate the dispenser is not applied before a patient inhales.

TL;DR: In this paper, a friction member is made by applying a coating if liquid thermosettable binder filled with carbon particles to one major surface of the paper, supporting the coated paper and a movable carrier.
Abstract: A friction member which is suitable for use as a friction facing member in a transmission is provided. the friction member includes a uniform density heat resistant paper, a first layer of thermoset polymeric binder coated over and at least partially impregnated into one major surface of the paper, granular carbon friction particles uniformly distributed over and partially imbedded in the exposed surface of the first layer and a second layer of thermoset binder over the first layer and partially imbedded granular friction particles which coats without obscuring the granular friction particles. The friction member is made by applying a coating if liquid thermosettable binder filled with carbon particles to one major surface of the paper, supporting the coated paper and a movable carrier, applying a uniform layer of carbon friction particles over the binder layer, at least partially curing the binder layer, applying a second coating of thermosettable binder material over the carbon particles and curing the coatings until the binder material is thermoset.
