TL;DR: In this paper, the error parameters of an industrial robot are determined by running the robot to at least two different configurations in which the calibration tool and the measuring device are in contact with each other.
Abstract: Equipment for calibration of an industrial robot which has a plurality of axes of rotation (A1-A6), which comprises a calibration tool (41) carried by the robot, a measuring device adapted for rotatable connection to a reference point (x0, y0, z0), the position of which is known, the measuring device comprising means (55) adapted to be in contact with the calibration tool during the calibration process, and a gravity sensor (34) adapted to measure the angle between the gravity vector and a predetermined reference axis of the measuring device. A method for calibration of said industrial robot wherein a number of error parameters of the robot are determined by running the robot to at least two different configurations in which, on the one hand, the calibration tool and, on the other hand, the measuring device are in contact with each other. The output signal of the gravity sensor is read in the different configurations, and the error parameters are calculated on the basis of the read output signals.

TL;DR: In this article, a separator device adapted to separate oil and water from a mixture extracted from a reservoir is presented, with a non-vertical first flow path for the mixture and being arranged along a nonvertical portion of the well, a second flow path, separate from the first flowpath, for receiving water or a water enriched phase that has been separated from the mixture by the separator.
Abstract: An oil well system for extracting oil extracted from a reservoir via a well, includes a separator device adapted to separate oil and water from a mixture extracted from a reservoir. The separator device has a non-vertical first flow path for the mixture and being arranged along a non-vertical portion of the well, a second flow path, separate from the first flow path, for receiving water or a water enriched phase that has been separated from the mixture by the separator device, and a plurality of drain openings along a section of the first flow path. The first and second flow paths are arranged such that water or the water enriched phase in the first flow path can flow by gravity to the second flow path via the drain openings. An opening area of the drain openings, per unit area of the first flow path, decreases in a flow direction of the mixture along the first flow path.

TL;DR: In this article, a high voltage AC transmission cable system for transmitting power between two points, each connected to one or more power networks, and a method to operate the system is presented.
Abstract: The invention concerns a high voltage AC transmission cable system for transmitting power between two points, each connected to one or more power networks, and a method to operate the system. At least one transformer is arranged at each end of the AC transmission cable, wherein at least one said transformer is arranged to operate the transformer at a voltage whereby losses due to reactive power transport and dielectric losses are minimized. The AC cable is run at a variable voltage regulated such that the voltage is a function of the load for the transmission cable. This operating voltage is not necessarily the same as the nominal voltages in the connection points. In other aspects of the invention a control and communication system and a graphical user interface for carrying out the method is described.

TL;DR: In this article, a coupling device is used to generate a voltage signal between two points (5a, 5b), which propagates along the line, and a microwave transmitter is provided to send the signal to an antenna of the coupling device.
Abstract: For the transmission of PLC signals via a high or medium voltage line (1), a coupling device (2) is provided, which is connected to the line (1) at two spaced apart points (5a, 5b). The coupling device (2) generates a voltage signal between the two points (5a, 5b), which propagates along the line (1). Since the coupling device (2) is at high or medium voltage potential, e.g. a microwave transmitter (7) is provided which sends the signal to an antenna (6) of the coupling device (2).

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for localization in an industrial wireless sensor network is presented, which comprises the steps of identifying the sensor node of a field device for localization, followed by determining the location information of the node associated with the field device.
Abstract: The invention relate to a method for localization in an industrial wireless sensor network. The method comprises the steps of identifying the sensor node of a field device for localization. This is followed by determining the location information of the sensor node associated with the said field device. After determining the location information the method includes the step of storing the determined location information in the said field device or in one or more modules of the said wireless network management component or operator portal or a combination thereof. The method according to the invention is performed during the joining of the field device into the network or during the commissioning of the industrial wireless sensor network or thereafter either in part or in whole. The invention also relate to a system capable of localization in an industrial wireless sensor network in accordance with the method of the invention. The system comprises field devices, one or more modules of wireless network management component, operator portal, means that could work on the techniques and / or tools adapted or configured thereto for localization.
