TL;DR: This paper presents a well-functioning process, its state of practice and its role within corrective software maintenance, utilized at ABB Robotics AB and called the System Progress Report process (SPR).
Abstract: A well-functioning process for reporting, analysing and resolving software problems is an important vehicle for establishing and retaining control over the development and maintenance of software products. In this paper we present such a process, its state of practice and its role within corrective software maintenance. This process is utilized at ABB Robotics AB and is called the System Progress Report process (SPR). The SPR process is the result of our 20 years of work and experience. This paper concludes with our lessons learned and plans for future improvements. Copyright © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for automatically generating synchronization contracts for software components and Web services is presented, which comprises the steps of: using UML diagrams to model permissible interaction scenarios; representing the relevant information from the UML models in XMI; generating path expressions wherein the interaction scenario in XML is examined by parsing XMI for the static classifier type information and its defined messages; including these path expressions in a component or web service description language; and using this enhanced component or Web service description at design time for verifying contract adherence and/or at run time for protecting the

TL;DR: In this article, a method for identifying the type of faults occurred on a power line, characterized in that it comprises: calculating a fault point voltage on fault points based on terminal voltage and fault locations of the power line.
Abstract: A method for identifying the type of faults occurred on a power line, characterized in that it comprises: calculating a fault point voltage on fault points based on terminal voltage and fault locations of the power line; adopting the fault point voltage corresponding to a maximum transition resistance as a setting value; comparing the fault point voltage on fault points with the setting value; and identifying the type of fault as a permanent type or a transient type based on the result of the comparison.

TL;DR: In this article, the double helixes of steel wire are placed in the glass tubes and only the spaces between the tube inside wall and the steel wires act as discharge spaces.
Abstract: In an ozone generator of modular design, glass tubes (3) are installed, tightly packed, in a housing (2) and cast therein by a casting compound (4) of good thermal and/or electric conductivity. Double helixes (5) of steel wire are placed in the glass tubes. Only the spaces between the tube inside wall and the steel wires act as discharge spaces (6).

TL;DR: In this article, a model of the process is developed using a modeling technique such as advanced pattern recognition and the model is used to generate predicted values for a predetermined number of the operating parameters and vibration parameters of the machinery.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting mechanical problems in machinery used in a process. A model of the process is developed using a modeling technique such as advanced pattern recognition and the model is used to generate predicted values for a predetermined number of the operating parameters of the process and vibration parameters of the machinery. Statistical process control methods are used to determine if the difference between the predicted and actual measured values for one or more of the parameters exceeds a configured statistical limit. A rule set is used to indicate an actual or probable fault in the machinery.
