TL;DR: In this article, a calibration process is used to shape the edge region of the winding bar to improve the electric strength at the edges of a stator winding of an electric machine.
Abstract: A winding bar ( 10 ) for a high-voltage winding, for example a stator winding of an electric machine, includes a plurality of conductors ( 13 ) which are arranged above and/or next to one another in a conductor bundle. The conductor bundle has a rectangular cross section. The conductor bundle is surrounded by an insulation ( 14 ). An overall improved electric strength is achieved at the edges without changing the insulation thickness because a thickness (d 2 ) of the insulation ( 14 ) on the edges ( 15 ) of the winding bar ( 10 ) is greater than the thickness ( 31 ) of the insulation ( 14 ) on the flat sides of the winding bar ( 10 ). Preferably, a calibration process is used to shape the edge region.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a method for automatic feedback control and monitoring of an oil and/or gas production system, or part(s) thereof, which includes one or more processing unit(s).
Abstract: A method for automatic feedback control and/or monitoring of an oil and/or gas production system, or part(s) thereof, which includes one or more processing unit(s) and/or one or more flow line(s) and/or one or more control means. The method includes the step of: - measuring or estimating value(s) of at least one level or pressure or flow rate or load indicator associated with at least one of said processing unit(s) and/or flow line(s), and at least one of the following steps: - calculating setting(s), i.e. value(s) of associated set point(s), for said control means based on at least one controlled variable in form of said measured or estimated level or pressure or flow rate or load indicator, including compensating for nonlinearities of said control means, preferably by using at least one control module, - estimating at least one of the oil-, gas-, water-, or liquid flow rate(s) into and/or out of at least one of said processing units and/or flow line(s), preferably by using an estimator module.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for testing a power distribution system (210) of a power supply network (400) includes the steps of coupling a first electrical signal (201) into the PDS to be tested, of propagating the first electrical signals along the power distribution network (210), and of receiving a second electrical signal, which is a portion of the first signal reflected within PDS.
Abstract: A method for testing a power distribution system (210) of a power supply network (400) includes the steps of coupling a first electrical signal (201) into the power distribution system (210) to be tested, of propagating the first electrical signal (201) along the power distribution system (210) to be tested and of receiving a second electrical signal (202) which is a portion of the first electrical signal (201) reflected within the power distribution system (210). A signal variation parameter is measured between the first electrical signal (201) and the second electrical signal (202), wherein a location of a critical conducting section (203) within the power supply network (400) is obtained from the measured signal variation parameter. A maximum load rating of the critical conducting section (203) is determined and a control signal for controlling the power supply network (400) such that the power transferred on the critical conducting section (203) does not exceed the maximum load rating is provided.

TL;DR: In this paper, a power generation system includes at least one generator having at least two sets of stator windings, an active rectifier comprising power cell based modular converters associated with each set of generator windings.
Abstract: A power generation system includes at least one generator having at least two sets of stator windings, an active rectifier comprising power cell based modular converters associated with each set of generator windings. Each set of windings is connected to an AC voltage side of the associated active rectifier, with each active rectifier having a positive DC voltage output and a negative DC voltage output. The DC voltage outputs of active rectifiers are connected to each other in series. A medium voltage DC (MVDC) collection network comprises positive pole cables and negative pole cables, wherein each positive pole cable is connected to the positive DC voltage output of a first active rectifier and each negative pole cable is connected to the negative DC voltage output of a last active rectifier. A substation receives the negative and positive pole cables of the MVDC collection network for further transformation and transmission.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for detecting islanding conditions in a low voltage (LV) electric power network, wherein the electrical power network comprises a plurality of sub-networks, is presented.
Abstract: A method for detecting islanding conditions in a low voltage (LV) electric power network, wherein the electrical power network comprises a plurality of sub-networks. The sub-networks comprise at least one power electrical unit and are separable from each other and a main grid supplying the network by switching devices. The method comprises determining topological information of at least one sub-network of interest, detecting islanding conditions in at least one sub-network of interest on the basis of the topological information by using separate detecting means for each sub-network of interest, and sending, on the basis of the islanding conditions detected by using the detecting means, a disconnect signal to at least one power electrical unit in at least one sub-network of interest.
