TL;DR: In this paper, an improved architecture for regular expression pattern matching is described, which includes a pipelining strategy that pushes state-dependent feedback to a final pipeline stage to enhance parallelism and throughput.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an improved architecture for regular expression pattern matching. Improvements to pattern matching deterministic finite automatons (DFAs) that are described by the inventors include a pipelining strategy that pushes state-dependent feedback to a final pipeline stage to thereby enhance parallelism and throughput, augmented state transitions that track whether a transition is indicative of a pattern match occurring thereby reducing the number of necessary states for the DFA, augmented state transition that track whether a transition is indicative of a restart to the matching process, compression of the DFA's transition table, alphabet encoding for input symbols to equivalence class identifiers, the use of an indirection table to allow for optimized transition table memory, and enhanced scalability to facilitate the ability of the improved DFA to process multiple input symbols per cycle.

TL;DR: A quantitative critical-state model based on an extension of Bean's theory is outlined which is able to predict transport and magnetic properties using microscopic current vs magnetic field relations.
Abstract: Critical-current and magnetization measurements are performed on a large number of ceramic superconductors of the YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7/ family. The results show that critical currents in present ceramics depend strongly on sample geometry and are, in fact, completely determined by self-field limitation. The strong magnetic-field dependence leads to a general relation between critical current and magnetization which is experimentally found to be satisfied. A quantitative critical-state model based on an extension of Bean's theory is outlined which is able to predict transport and magnetic properties using microscopic current vs magnetic field relations. The underlying microscopic parameters are extracted from a comparison of the model calculation with measured transport and magnetization data.

TL;DR: In this paper, a high-power radiator is constructed by simple and economical construction and high UV yield using a glass dielectric, where wires are embedded in a glass Dielectric.
Abstract: In a UV high-power radiator, the electrodes (6', 6") consist of wires embedded in a glass dielectric (3). The dielectric is arranged spaced between two UV-transparent sheets (1, 2). The discharge spaces (8, 9) are filled with a filler gas emitting radiation under discharge conditions. The surface discharges (10) form on the dielectric surface in each case between two adjacent electrode wires (6', 6"). A high-power radiator constructed in this manner is characterized by simple and economical construction and high UV yield.

TL;DR: This paper proposed a multi-agent system based distributed control solution that can realize optimal generation control and is designed based upon an improved distributed gradient algorithm, which can address both equality and inequality constraints.
Abstract: In traditional power system, economic dispatch and generation control are separately applied. Online generation adjustment is necessary to regulate generation reference for real-time control to realize economic operation of power systems. Since most economic dispatch solutions are centralized, they are usually expensive to implement, susceptible to single-point-failures, and inflexible. To address the above-mentioned problems, this paper proposed a multi-agent system based distributed control solution that can realize optimal generation control. The solution is designed based upon an improved distributed gradient algorithm, which can address both equality and inequality constraints. To improve the reliability of multi-agent system, the N-1 rule is introduced to design the communication network topology. Compared with centralized solutions, the distributed control solution not only can achieve comparable solutions but also can respond timely when the system experiences change of operating conditions. MAS based real-time simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed solution.
