TL;DR: In this paper, some significant problems of ensuring reliability of advanced gas turbine engines are discussed, where special attention is paid to successful utilization of new materials and critical technologies, and the problem of excluding failure of engine part due to low cycle or high cycle fatigue is discussed.
Abstract: Requirements to advanced engines for civil aviation are discussing. Some significant problems of ensuring reliability of advanced gas turbine engines are mentioned. Special attention is paid to successful utilization of new materials and critical technologies. Also the problem of excluding failure of engine part due to low cycle or high cycle fatigue is discussing.

TL;DR: In this article, an unsteady two-dimensional nonlinear model is developed, where significant gravity term are added to the governing equations, and the selected numerical method for the problem is the Marker and Cell (MAC) method based on finite difference approximations.
Abstract: Circulatory system in human body is built up by network of blood vessels which includes numerous bifurcations. This study presents the influences of bifurcation geometry under the effects of gravity and an irregular stenosis. Along the studied vessel, blood is treated as an incompressible Newtonian fluid. In this paper, an unsteady two-dimensional nonlinear model is developed, where significant gravity term are added to the governing equations. The selected numerical method for the problem is the Marker and Cell (MAC) method based on finite difference approximations. The governing equations are discretized to uniform staggered grids before developing the algorithm in Matlab software. Furthermore, successive-over-relaxation (S.O.R.) method is used to solve the Poisson equation of pressure. Then, pressure-velocity corrector is implied to improve accuracy of the results obtained. The results are presented graphically.

TL;DR: In this article, a physically validated approach to the setting of an experiment is presented and the methodological aspects of an analysis of experimental data for establishing the distinctive features of the fuel mixture combustion in variable-cross-section channels are considered.
Abstract: The physically validated approaches to the setting of an experiment are presented and the methodological aspects of an analysis of experimental data for establishing the distinctive features of the fuel mixture combustion in variable-cross-section channels are considered. The special features of determining the fuel combustion efficiency coefficient in subsonic and supersonic flows are considered with account for heat removal into the channel walls. The effect of the fuel combustion efficiency coefficient on the distributions of gasdynamic and thermodynamic parameters along the length of the internal ducts of channels of different configurations is analyzed. The results of the testing of the techniques proposed against an experimental investigation of gaseous hydrogen combustion in high-enthalpy air flows are presented. The results obtained and the mathematical models developed can be used at the stage of computational and experimental investigations of the working process in promising power plants.

TL;DR: This study's results demonstrate, for the first time in Colombia, that traps are a useful tool for the surveillance and control of A. aegypti.
Abstract: In the past decade, new strategies have been developed to control the Aedes aegypti (Diptera: Culicidae) mosquito vector, as well as a broad range of arboviral agents. Vector control surveillance programmes in Puerto Rico and Australia have implemented the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention autocidal gravid ovitrap (AGO), which has had an impact on vector density and, consequently, the epidemiology of arboviral infections. Colombia intends to establish the AGO as a new tool for the surveillance and control of the A. aegypti vector. AGOs were evaluated in a hyperendemic area for dengue virus during an 8-week period in Villavicencio city, eastern Colombia. The results indicated that the AGOs detect a high density of A. aegypti, with positive results for these traps of over 80% and an average catch of six individuals per trap per week. Acceptance of AGOs in the community exceeded 95%, and adherence was around 89%. This study's results demonstrate, for the first time in Colombia, that traps are a useful tool for the surveillance of A. aegypti. Future studies must consider the implementation of AGOs in the region.
