TL;DR: A simple closed form expression is derived for the computation of the availability of a route, which can then be used to select the best route in mobile wireless networks.
Abstract: This paper presents a route selection method in mobile wireless networks to a given destination based on the probability that the route is still available for a packet to be sent. The probability is based on the knowledge at each node of the geographic position of all the other nodes in the network and taking into account the mobility of the nodes and the dependencies between links in a computed route. We derive a simple closed form expression for the computation of the availability of a route, which can then be used to select the best route.

01 Jan 1995TL;DR: In this article, the development of advanced gas turbines for high performance aircraft requires materials of high specific strength capable of operating in thermal environments up to 2200°C under both static and dynamic loading conditions.
Abstract: The development of advanced gas turbines for high performance aircraft requires materials of high specific strength capable of operating in thermal environments up to 2200°C under both static and dynamic loading conditions. The successful use of new high temperature non-metallic materials is impossible without careful evaluation of their structural strength. Unique equipment for this purpose is being developed and used in the Central Institute of Aviation Motors (Moscow).

TL;DR: In this article, the performance improvement of hybrid gas-turbine engine (HGTE) based on solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) using cheaper and environmental alternative fuels (AF) such as liquid methane and propane-butane mixture (propane- butane).
Abstract: Purpose – The purpose of the conducted investigations is assessment of performance improvement of hybrid gas-turbine engine (HGTE) based on solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) using cheaper and environmental alternative fuels (AF) such as liquid methane and propane – butane mixture (propane – butane). This paper also assessed the efficiency of mid-flight propulsion system (PS) based on HGTE for advanced short – medium hall aircrafts (SMHA) of 2025 (with level of parameters corresponding to technologies of 2025-2030 time period). Design/methodology/approach – According to purposes of this paper, following are conducted: Analysis of properties of conventional and advanced aviation fuels, updating of architectures and parameters of energy system of HGTE based on SOFC using different fuels (kerosene, methane and propane – butane). Examination of rational architectures and updating of possible design parameters of HGTE using different types of fuel. Assessment of efficiency of PS with HGTE using different fuels under...

02 Jun 2016TL;DR: In this paper, an analytical model is developed by using Green's function method to simulate the effects of pumping well and microbial activity that occurs in riverbed sediments on contaminant transport and evolution of water chemistry.
Abstract: Riverbank filtration system is river water treatment approach based on natural removal of contaminants due to physical, chemical and biological processes. In this article, an analytical model is developed by using Green’s function method to simulate the effects of pumping well and microbial activity that occurs in riverbed sediments on contaminant transport and evolution of water chemistry. The model is tested with data collected previously for RBF site in France. The results are compared with numerical simulation conducted in the literature by using finite difference method. Graphically, it is noticed that both numerical and analytical results have almost the same behavior. Also it is found that the model can simulate the decreasing of one pollutant concentration at the zone where the bacteria starts to consume this pollutant.

TL;DR: In this article, a new type of multi-symlectic integrators, which is used for solving Nonlinear Schrodinger Equation (NLS) has been demonstrated, and their excellent long time behavior for a variety of Hamiltonian wave equations has been proposed in a number of numerical studies.
Abstract: Multi-symplectic methods have recently been considered as a generalization of symplectic ODE methods to the case of Hamiltonian PDEs. The symplectic of Hamiltonian systems is well known, but for Partial Differential Equation (PDEs) this is a global property. In addition, many PDEs can be written as Multi- symplectic systems, in which each independent variable has a distinct symplectic structure. Also, Their excellent long time behavior for a variety of Hamiltonian wave equations has been proposed in a number of numerical studies. In the study, a new type of multi-symlectic integrators, which is used for solving Nonlinear Schrodinger Equation (NLS) has been demonstrated.
