TL;DR: Arsenic species in arsenic accumulating mush- rooms (Sarcosphaera coronaria, Laccaria amethystina, Sarcodon imbricatum, Entoloma lividum,Agaricus haemorrhoidaius, Agaricus placomyces, Lycoperdon perlatum) were determined.
Abstract: Arsenic species in arsenic accumulating mush- rooms (Sarcosphaera coronaria, Laccaria amethystina, Sarcodon imbricatum, Entoloma lividum, Agaricus haemorrhoidaius, Agaricus placomyces, Lycoperdon perlatum) were determined. HPLC/ICP MS and ion-exchange chromatogra- phy–instrumental neutron activation analysis (NAA) combinations were used. The remarkable accumulator Sarcosphaera coronaria (up to 2000 mg As kg−1 dry wt) contained only methylarsonic acid, Entoloma lividum only arsenite and arsenate. In Laccaria amethystina dimethylarsinic acid was the major arsenic compound. Sarcodon imbricatum and the two Agaricus sp. were found to contain arsenobetaine as the major arsenic species, a form which had previously been found only in marine biota. Its identification was confirmed by electron impact MS.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the feasibility of having dark matter in the minimal left-right symmetric theory and find that the lightest right-handed neutrino with a mass around keV is the only viable candidate consistent with a TeV scale of left right symmetry.
Abstract: We investigate the viability of having dark matter in the minimal left-right symmetric theory. We find the lightest right-handed neutrino with a mass around keV as the only viable candidate consistent with a TeV scale of left-right symmetry. In order to account for the correct relic density with such low scales, the thermal overproduction of the dark matter in the early universe is compensated by a sufficient late entropy production due to late decay of heavier right-handed neutrinos. We point out that the presence of the right-handed charge-current interactions, operative around the QCD phase transition, has a crucial impact on the amount of dilution, as does the nature of the phase transition itself. A careful numerical study, employing the Boltzmann equations, reveals the existence of a narrow window for the right-handed gauge boson mass, possibly within the reach of LHC (in disagreement with a previous study). We also elaborate on a variety of astrophysical, cosmological and low energy constraints on this scenario.

TL;DR: A diagnostic procedure was developed to predict soon after accidents which incomplete SCI patients are candidates for permanent use of a functional electrical stimulation (FES) orthotic aid.
Abstract: After a program of therapeutic electrical stimulation, 3 groups of incomplete spinal cord injured (SCI) patients were identified, those in whom an improvement of both voluntary and stimulated muscle force was observed, those with an increase in stimulation response only, and patients in whom no effect of electrical stimulation training could be recorded. As it is difficult to predict the outcome of the electrical stimulation rehabilitation process, a diagnostic procedure was developed to predict soon after accidents which incomplete SCI patients are candidates for permanent use of a functional electrical stimulation (FES) orthotic aid. The candidates for chronic use of FES are patients with weak ankle dorsiflexors and sufficiently strong knee extensors. These patients are equipped with a single channel peroneal stimulator augmenting dorsiflexion and knee and hip flexion in a total lower limb flexion response. By applying FES to the ankle plantar flexors, the swing phase of walking can be significantly shortened and faster walking obtained.
