TL;DR: ClovaCall as discussed by the authors is a large-scale Korean call-based speech corpus under a goal-oriented dialog scenario from more than 11,000 people, which includes approximately 60,000 pairs of a short sentence and its corresponding spoken utterance in a restaurant reservation domain.
Abstract: Automatic speech recognition (ASR) via call is essential for various applications, including AI for contact center (AICC) services. Despite the advancement of ASR, however, most publicly available call-based speech corpora such as Switchboard are old-fashioned. Also, most existing call corpora are in English and mainly focus on open domain dialog or general scenarios such as audiobooks. Here we introduce a new large-scale Korean call-based speech corpus under a goal-oriented dialog scenario from more than 11,000 people, i.e., ClovaCall corpus. ClovaCall includes approximately 60,000 pairs of a short sentence and its corresponding spoken utterance in a restaurant reservation domain. We validate the effectiveness of our dataset with intensive experiments using two standard ASR models. Furthermore, we release our ClovaCall dataset and baseline source codes to be available via this https URL.

TL;DR: This case shows that herbal medicine, which focused on patient’s physical symptom, is seemed to be effective in alopecia areata.
Abstract: A Case Report of Child with Alopecia Areata Hwangbo Min * ․ Jeong Min Jeong * ․ Seo Hyung Sik * + * Pusan National University Korean Medicine Hospital + Pusan National University School of Korean Medicine Objectives The purpose of this study is to know the effect of Baekhogainsam-Tang on alopecia areata. Methods We decided the treatment principle through abdominal examinations and symptoms. We used herbal medicine (Baekhogainsam-Tang) to increase the roots of hair and hair. Results After the treatment, patients’ hair condition had been improved (Hair loss patch diameter decreased from 2.5 cm to 0.5 cm). In addition, patient’s physical symptoms were improved. Conclusions This case shows that herbal medicine, which focused on patient’s physical symptom, is seemed to be effective in alopecia areata. TL;DR: Mild DME between 250 to 500µm did not show significant worsening of BCVA or macular edema without any specific treatment and the best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and CMT of natural course group were evaluated.
Abstract: Purpose: To assess the natural course of the mild diabetic macular edema(DME) and to compare the visual outcomes with the patients with receiving either macular laser photocoagulation or intravitreal injection of triamcinolone acetonide(IVTA). Methods: 28 eyes with central macular thickness (CMT) of between 250 to 300µm were followed without treatment and 48 eyes with CMT between 300 to 500µm had been divided into 3 subgroups according to treatment. We evaluated the best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and CMT of natural course group and compared the BCVA and CMT of the patients who had been treated with IVTA or macular laser treatment. Results: The eyes with DME between 250 to 300µm showed no significant change in BCVA and CMT at 6 month. Among the eyes with DME between 300 to 500µm, all 3 subgroups showed no statistically significant change of BCVA at any follow up period and no significant difference was revealed among the subgroups. All subgroups showed significant reduction of CMT after 1 month and maintained until final follow-up and there was no significant difference among subgroups. Conclusions: Mild DME between 250 to 500µm did not show significant worsening of BCVA or macular edema without any specific treatment.

TL;DR: This work proposes algorithms that are asymptotic-optimal and order- optimal in their regrets under the settings of stochastic and adversarial rewards, respectively.
Abstract: We study multi-armed bandit (MAB) problems with additional observations, where in each round, the decision maker selects an arm to play and can also observe rewards of additional arms (within a given budget) by paying certain costs. We propose algorithms that are asymptotic-optimal and order-optimal in their regrets under the settings of stochastic and adversarial rewards, respectively.

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of perceived organizational support and abusive supervision on employee's turnover intention was tested and mediating roles of psychological contract and emotional exhaustion were examined, and data from 255 Korean employees supported all hypotheses Implications for research and directions for future research are discussed.
Abstract: Workers (especially, competent personnel) have been recognized as a core contributor to overall organizational effectiveness. Hence, verifying the determinants of turnover intention is one of the most important research issues. This study tested the influence of perceived organizational support and abusive supervision on employee’s turnover intention. In addition, mediating roles of psychological contract and emotional exhaustion were examined. Data from 255 Korean employees supported all hypotheses Implications for research and directions for future research are discussed. Keywords—Abusive Supervision, Emotional Exhaustion, Perceived Organizational Support, Psychological Contract, Turnover Intention.
